Dear fellow GJ'ers,

Ok I have something to confess, I'm a bit of a tool storage freak. :lol_hitti:dunno:

I'd love to see how you guys keep you tools at hand, so let 's see you tool boxes or tools bags.

NOTE: please do not show any drawers, chests or any storage on wheels (including vans and 18-wheelers trailers ahahah), but only containers or storage that would be either mobile or easily transported by hand.

Let the party begin !

Indeed.

Thanks a million ZK, but the topics you gave me refer mostly to drawers...

I have a version of this in my pickup truck. It rides there, its home is there. It can be taken out, on occasion my helper says,, lets just grab the toolbox from the pickup but we have triplicate of everything there and we try to keep it intact.

I like that tote above too, looks like it could work. My other problem is golf carts, I should near wear a tool belt but the cart is a good platform but hard to keep disciplined. I really lean on MyGiver.
I try to strip them out, I think the mess on the right was my yard cart after some job or 2 we just finished and cleaned for the seaon, at the end had accumulated 3 x the stuff sposed to be on it.

If I know what I am going to do rummage first to make sure to cover the obvious and then hope for the best and make do with the rest. This is supposed to be thee "primary" core kit to be in a pickup or golf cart and some tractors for us.

I got a packer in the back and tried a lot of stuff but that oversize Rubbermaid tray was about perfect but it didn't have tool pockets. Its got a low CG and large footprint to stay on the seat, I need a clip but I manage. I really don't need to open a box do a good share of the work.

Here is a coopered lid tool tote I built for my woodworking hand tools a few years ago.
The lid was an intimidating undertaking and I'm proud of how it turned out.
Details of the build are in this link:
