I was going to post a question about Roll Cart accessories, and then found this thread and thought I would ask the question here. I have a little Hugger Orange Snap-on Roll Cart, nothing fancy. It has accessory slots/gills around the sides to hang some organizers on. I don't care for what snap-on offers, plus they are high dollar for what you get. Does anybody else make anything that works with these slots?

The square accessory can holders or whatever that fit inside the side lockers will fit on the sides of that style cart. I'll try and take a picture of my other cart tomorrow which I put the locker can holders on the sides after I couldn't use them in my locker anymore because of my mini fridge is in the way.

Repurposed my Craftsman toolcart for flux-core MIG welding. Kinda nice not lugging it around.

Course it still gets tools piled on it, let's not get crazy

Now just need to wire up a 220v outlet for my new-to-me Lincoln 180 (currently using Lincoln 125).

i will post the new picture of my masterforce at my work. i had a bowling alley wood, i tried to make perfect cut and make it match with surface of top box.. i am more than happy to have masterforce box to work on...

i already put a toolbox rubber liner to make it stay on...

It's a little too tall for that. What I am more worried about is the aluminum trim on the corners - bend over to pick something up, and slice your head open on them standing up. I'm probably going to cap them with a safety corner, or at the very least some more rounded trim.

here's my tool cart along with my toolbox. i bought the toolbox about 5 years ago for $300 from my wife's uncle. the boxes are a set of popular mechanics mounted into a steel frame.

my cart came from a store named ollie's. i paid $30 for it about 2 years ago. i added the u-bolts to hold a couple of hammers and a snowbrush. on the opposite side of the cart, i have a screwdriver and pry-bar rack that i bought off the tool truck for $40.

i keep my shop chemicals on the lower shelf of the cart, and can usually work out of the cart for most of my day at work.

i have an length of air hose that you can see to the left of the tool box that i'll use if i'm working on something where my regular overhead hose reel won't reach. i'll hang it on the hook (an old muffler strap hanger) on the front of the cart.

works well for the most part.

i really want to get a newer toolbox in a couple years, but we'll see where things go.

Saw a pretty cool cart setup today, our fleet maintenance guy has taken a HF 5-drawer cart in the old paint job, and attached a 7-drawer end cabinet to either side. Looked pretty nice, I'll try get a pic next time I am over there.

Btw: I know this post is worthless without pics, sorry.

there is my new "tool cart" as menards masterforce bottom box... i did bought it as full price but i went to menards last sunday as they just had it on sale so i got the price adjusted... i had to bought the rubber liners to put it on because masterforce box has "foam liner".. it is nice liner but when i was open and close a lot of time, it was moving...

I did something like that last year. Worked out pretty good. I needed more bulk storage than draws. Just needed to cut some slits in the lid.

I just got my new one,http://www.harborfreight.com/13-drawer-red-industrial-quality-roller-cabinet-90320.html. I plan on addind some 3/4 MDF to the top so that I can mount a 5" vise. So far I am love being able to fit all my hand tools in it. My old tool chest is a three piece that craftsman doesn't sell anymore; but I will be using that chest for my speciality tools..

ron: here you go. this is from fall of 2009, before the inside of the service department was painted in the new gm colors (i work at a chevrolet dealer)

i want to add a riser so i can use the toolbox as a work surface also. i have a laptop that i use through wireless internet to get on gm service information. right now i have it in the left upper box. it's kinda cumbersome to use up there.

Had to drill two holes on the side of the box to bolt to cart. Easy. Also 2 slits on the lid for proper closure. The box was $99.99 and I used the coupon for additional 20% off that was in early 2010.

I work on ARCA and USAR Pro-Cup series circle track cars, so my tool set is a little more eclectic than most other guys setups..
Drawers take too long to open to get tools. Everything is open and ready to grab on the go. The cart is a kitchen cart that my great grandmother's paid servant used to serve dinner on, around 1890.
Also its easy to pack up all my tools to go on the road in my portable husky 14" toolbag(packed very full).


standard hand tools and my new 3.7Lb 1/2" drive 18V lithium ion impact good to 145 ft/Lbs.

The little doodads on the left are like clecos, but scottish made. Hold way better and are tool free, although they take a little longer to install and disassemble.
Craftsman 3pc precision measuring set, offset handle left hand tin snips...

miscellaneous tools and my pit stop gloves

Extensions, ratchets, nut drivers, allen sockets, etc.. in some little bent up pieces of aluminum that I whipped up with a rotax punch and 12' sheet metal brake...lol

Here is my recently bought and modified KRSC31. I bought it off of CL for $300. And since I figure it will be in my life for awhile, why not make it my own. I do mainly 12v electrical so keep that in mind before judging on the tools I keep handy and available.

I modified it so that the lid will flip all the way open. The pictures tell the tale, but I changed the hinge, added bumpers, modified the drawer lock, and changed the strut locks so I can remove them quicker.
