Here's a few pics of my "service cart" at work.
Custom fabricated tote tray, drill box, wrench rings, welding helmet and other odds and ends that I use on a daily basis.

This is my tool cart I use when I'm working on something away from my main toolboxes. It was originally an emergency room "crash cart" . I mounted my creeper to the side of it and it has a 4 gang outlet with extension cord for using power tools. I love this cart. image.jpg

That's a Vidmar!!!
Yes it is indeed a Stanley Vidmar modular mobile tool cabinet, I got it off of craigslist for 250.00. I do not use "regular" toolboxes anymore. I have a tall Vidmar and a rolling extra wide Lyon as well, I need to get around to painting them to match each other (in the spring when it's warmer here).

Correct shopboy, that's the 05crf450 being worked on and the 08 is nice and toasty stored in the basement during these cold months.

I'm sorry but I'm not spending 150 bucks on snap on or matco screwdrivers when I can go to sears or harbor freight and spend a quarter of the amount for the same amount of screw drivers or more. I spent 250 bucks on a set of metric gearwrenches from matco when sears sells gearwrench wrenches for half the price

Yes sir. I am very impressed with it. It is the first professional toolbox I have ever owned. When my SM told me it came in and brought me to the back I felt like a giddy schoolgirl. It came with a giant Snap-on sticker and liners for all the drawers. The build quality is outstanding. It's like a damn Cadillac.

Thanks for your service and good luck in your start of a new career.

Here are my tool carts

Here is my cart that I'll use to put my tools on when I'm working next to one of my cars

On this tool cart I just use it to store sockets as my main boxes are full, its not a real Snap On

For a second there I thought that big handle in the front was attached to the magnetic bowl, and I wondered what you used that for. I figured maybe to panhandle on weekends to pay for the tools?

I'm sorry, and I know some will hate me, but..........everytime I look in someone's tool chest and I see Craftsman; I already KNOW they're full of ****.
Thank you.

I've fixed a lot of broken vehicles over the years with Craftsman tools. I used to work evenings and weekends to pay of bills when I was younger. I don't have the time for that like I used to but I routinely get the ones from my friends when they've had their car at the dealer or independent shops that they can't figure out. I pride myself on being able to do that. The point is, there is some level of expertise required by the user regardless of what brand of tools you own. Making a post like that shows your immaturity and lets the rest of realize we probably won't get much serious discussion from you nor will we be able to believe much of what you post.

I'll play. Bought this in 05 when I was 20. I was working with a good friend at his business in the shop over the summer between Sophomore and Junior year. Had it FILLED with Snap-on, Matco, Mac, Cornwell, and then about 08 someone broke into our shed and stole everything except the box.

It's filled so I am about to buy a full sized service cart. Likely the Matco MSC4SVFDA Silver Vein one until I need a 4s or 5s. Sorry I am not getting the drawers open, the Cobra is in the way and we have snow leftover!

Started new Job in April of 13...Larger shop then where I cam from, and my KRL1033 is too large to wheel around the 7 bay truck shop. This was the service cart I bought pretty much right away. It was a cheapo, thin metal construction with only one set of slides on the scoket drawer - didn't last long.

old VS new.
Still a cheapo box, but much better construction and double slides on the socket drawer - much better feel and very sturdy. Wish it had more drawers, could always buy the top for it, but feels like I'm wasting my KRL1033, just sits there in the corner getting little use.

Eventually I'd like to add some sort of wooden top, and a prybar/screw driver holder to the cart, but we'll see when that happens.
