Watch out. There are Snap On fanatics here who think that a person who puts a Snap On sticker on a non-Snap On item is a crook.![]()
100% of my tools / box are paid, ... I rather wait and save up for a house than slaving away for a tool truck
The only reason I can see to re-brand anything is to intentionally deceive others who may not know or be able to tell the the differences.

Snap-on KRSC46 just received to replace a complete POS 36" Homak chest I bought last year to use at work. I have a Snap-on KR1000 at home that I purchased new 25 years ago and thought I'd give one of the China boxes a try to see what everyone is raving about and save some cash on a work box...a big mistake that I'll never repeat again.

Guess I missed the memo where people were raving about Homak boxes.
Nice new cart
Good for you, MrAperture. Interest expense eats into the ability to save money.Whatever you do, there's always ppl who will hate it. I didnt do it to please others I did it because I wanted to. They can say what they want, 100% of my tools / box are paid, one day I'll upgrate to a Snap On or a Mac but till then I got a sticker on it to reminds me I rather wait and save up for a house than slaving away for a tool truck

Prior to discovering GJ, I never knew that there was such as thing as "payments on a toolbox". I've heard of house payments and car payments, though.
What's next? People making payments toward their flashlights and miter saws?![]()
Cash purchases are the only way to roll.
IMG_20150314_172810305It was pretty hard to find my ideal type of cart.... I'm just a DIYer and what I
wanted was basically a table with a couple of shelves under it and a single
drawer would be useful.
I didn't want it to keep tools in, as my toolboxes are right there when I work
on my car, but I wanted something to put the tools on that I was using for a
particular job, and also to keep parts and nuts and bolts I had removed.
Anyway, I lucked out and found this little gem... I made a few mods to it.
First was moving the handle under the can holder to keep the width of it to
a minimum... and second was adding the steel round the three sides of the
top to stop things from rolling off.
It's perfect for me, and such a delight to have somewhere to put my tools
rather than the floor or the inner wing... or up by the wipers somewhere.

I have to disagree. I went from working a furbished performance shop that was shut down due to tax evasion to working in flat rate shop where I had to have my own tools.
Thankfully I had enough to get into the game. What is the new guy gonna do when starts off? Assuming he goes straight from high school to work, without tech school, and working at a parts house to scrap together a few grand and buy some quality while he goes to tech school?
I mean you can go work at express lube for a few years, or you can get into debt and actually learn something, and make some good money, pay off the truck, and move to the point where you make enough money to make big purchases with cash sure. But starting out, credit is important.

Appreciate the kind words. My tool boxes are the Halfords Pro series and nothing to do with Facom. Most of my hand tools are Facom and I got a load of stickers and a hat with purchases and went nuts with them.Love the garage setup. Them facom boxes look very similar to the halfords pro ones wonder if there re branded ? But very good boxes

To be honest I've had them for 8 years now and I expected to replace them at some point, but all the drawers work like new and for the price I paid for them when Halfords had them on sale they are superb value. I can definitely recommend them for a DIY workshop.

I agree. It can be a great help to a lot of people. I wouldn't have a lot of what I do without my tool guys running me a little truck credit.
I have never had a credit card through a tool co however. That interest seems like it could get you quick.
Yeah interest *****. But at least Matco guy only charges 16% and I only do truck credit with snappy.
More pics?
ianguilly,
Who makes your colour protective impact sockets? Or that is what I am guessing they are.
Bob
Only 16%??? Holy moly???
Adding the pic so wouldn't have to figure out what BTB was referring to.

It's even cheaper to buy from Matco and pay cash to save the 16%.According to State law they can charge 26.5%. Aside from that, it is still cheaper to buy a lot of the same products from the Matco guy (I mean exact same OTC/Gearwrench/Lisle products) on credit (with the 16%) than it is to buy from the snapon guy paying cash.
Only things I really buy off SO truck are SO tools. Maybe some bluepoint. But no rebrands.
Nice place Rico, everything is so color matching!
stylish !!![]()
Nice set up, where in england are you?
Excellent I thought so just saw em and thought there just like mine ! But they do look the part in that garage. What's the foam liners you have in them looks neat.![]()
Appreciate the thunbs up... It's only a single car garage size and I have to work on stuff
on the driveway, but for a little DIY workshop I've put a fair amount of time and money into
it, and I'm quite proud of it.
I live in Kent, Colin.... Close to Canterbury.
Those foam liners are the standard ones that come with the small and large set
of Facom 440 series spanners Alex.
Cheers.
