That is gorgeous. There is something about a clean white box that really pops.

It's a KRSC343PU. It was a promo box being given away for Christmas. I asked what he'd give me trade-in for my old Classic 78, and he told me he'd trade straight up.

I need to bring it home and bring an older box up here. It won't stay white for long if I leave it at work!

Thanks. For that kind of money I might just as well get a KRSC46. Cool box, though.

Started life a basic blue point cart. Hung a prybar screwdriver holder on the side. Added the cam shaft socket wrench racks. Used are exhaust bender at the shop to make the tray to lay above truck fenders while layin in the engine bay... The brace for the cam rack is a 6.4 powerstroke up pipe. The cart works very well for what I have in it

I think this box is basically the same as the 46, except the top slides open to the sides instead of opening up.

But that's just from seeing pictures online. Haven't seen a 46 in person.

I've just modified this one a bit. It's a cheap 'US Pro' brand one from flea bay. Although its actually better than I expected. I've added some SO Mag tool holders and made some screwdriver/Hex key racks from some Aluminium Angle.

I can't get my Landrover in my single garage so this is great when I'm working on it in the drive. I have a big box for less used stuff.

Did a little more digging, on a real computer rather than my ancient iPad, and according to the Vehicle Service Pros website, the '343 is 27" wide with 17,000 cubic inches capacity (no other dimensions given, and none on SO's site), the '46 is 46" tall x 20" deep x 40" wide and 20,793 cubic inches (per SO's website) both $1695.

And it reminded me (not that I needed it) that SO's website blows...

Once again, gorgeous cart, man...

Good info [emoji4]

I was at work so I didn't get to dig any. That other is a nice box. The extra space would be nice to have, and if I had seen that one I probably would have gotten it.

Right now, almost all my tools are on my service truck so I didn't need much space. Thats why I traded my old Classic 78 for it. I may regret it if/when I move to another job, but I'll cross that bridge at that point, lol.

I'm a GM ASEP student and this is my Harbor Freight 5 drawer. Slowly building it up and replacing tools with better ones as I go. I haven't done much to the cart, I put the side tray on, I replaced the US General logo with a SnapOn, and I added MAC prybar drop downs for my prybars. I'm pretty happy with it. I don't have to borrow too much stuff from my mentor haha. On the list I have
-long extensions
-3/8" impact wobbles short and deep
-replace the stubby wrenches with stubby flex ratchet wrenches
-get a decent set of standard wrenches
-build my metric up to 26 (at 21)
-snapon FAR air ratchet.
-MAC 3/8" and 1/2" impacts
If anybody has any recommendations of stuff they use often or something I can replace with a better version please let me know! I'm open to suggestions and am here to learn! ec56ba88a1b99b6eb8e51c7e25fd2189.jpgc83edc5a6bad1b06ac3bb755137dc480.jpgdae8d71e5a5b9f405903bc95fe97b644.jpg132faa2887753997dd4ddfa34f564a39.jpgfa86d7414164c0d4484070930426a710.jpg020dbf6e9ea8e5318e3697b9212f36fc.jpg000379082512585f0cc733fcdebf8939.jpg

Hello and welcome to GJ. Nice set of tools, you are off to a great start. It looks like you have most of your bases covered. I have a few frequently used tools that I like. I like the large sized picks as well as the smaller ones, they come in handy. That, and knipex brand pliers. I was skeptical of all of the hype about them until I wound up with a set myself, but they are awesome. Impact swivels are also a great thing to have and can be a real time saver. Also, magnet trays and magnet pick up tools are very handy. Because Murphy prevails, it is also very good to have a nonmagetic pick up tool just in case that one little piece that will invariably get dropped doesn't happen to be magnetic. There is a lot of good information on this site, I certainly have learned a lot since I joined.

Nickc12, in your first photo I see what appears to be a black rubber bumper on the crossbar I assume to keep the foldable side table from rubbing on the side of the cart when the table is folded down. Did that bumper come with the side table or is that something you created yourself? If that is your own creation what did you use? BTW nice setup.Thanks.

It did not come with it. It's a foam pad they put on the new cars to prevent door dings on the transport truck! It has sticky tape on the back and it worked great for that. I can just drop the tray and it's much much quieter than having the metal bang against each other haha. I have another one on the underside of the tray as well. A guy in the shop has the whole backside of his cart covered and he will just push it with a car haha. But yeah it's just a little foam block from the new cars!

Thank you! And yes I got to borrow a pair of knipex channel locks! A little different to use but I feel if you used them every day it make it hard to go back to a normal set haha. And YES! Pickup tools and inspection mirrors! Thank you for your input! I'm glad to be here!

I prefer the top lid open close version KRSC326FPBO because it's more user friendly compared to the slide top versions. Add a foldable side tray and you can still have a working top. :rocker:

Recently went back to the body shop, tried to pack everything I "need" in my cart for now. Figured I'd throw up some pics.

Here's the rest, and yes those are 10" pneumatic casters. Once it gets rolling not much stops it with 40+ psi in them. Makes the cart 47" tall at the shelf. I'm 6'5" so I love it.

I install breathalyzers so mostly I work with small fasteners/clips to remove dash pieces and wire a few leads to the ignition harness.

My favorite tools are the SO "surface drive" deep sockets. They have a spring loaded magnet in the socket to hold nuts or bolt heads.

I do similar work, I've used those SO magnetic surface drive and they're pretty sweet. I just got the Sunex version, they're nice but aren't as deep with the spring compressed.

I'm curious about that set in the green case with the universals and deeps, watcha got there?

My main cart is already in the HF cart mods thread, but I thought this little rolling work station I've been putting together might belong here. Half my work is under-dash so I kept everything really low, and I tuck it up close to me so everything's within reach, and roll it easily out of the way when I get up for a break.

I work on site, so here it is all packed up.6debf424807903b9a7f1fec34059b795.jpg Sets up in about a minute, I just raise the platform, pull the socket rail out and put it on a flat bar I mounted, hook the pouch for my driver on the side of the bag, and tuck/hook the bag flaps.ba364bb2ca4fb0dd38ab0a051d9676d1.jpg These drawers didn't have good detents but some magnets epoxied in there hold them firmly.ca53ccf52e7fcc555a698a4015da8cf6.jpg489142952e9065ae693a77d71b2a1282.jpg Trim side25ae035869915624f779d125e7981bcf.jpg Electrical side3d10cc503a13a36ac94b74b5f011080a.jpg
