My sunex is very similar, i find it top heavy and not deep enough, that being said i have small leg extenders due to an added drawer.if i remeber correctly it was similar before. Great carts for the money

Not bad for a $50 Craigslist find.

So I gave my little roll around 3 shelf cart to a buddy at work. My dad was giving this away. So I grabbed it. More room and I don't have to stack my tools on top of each other. I will be transferring my pry bar holder and hammer holders over that I made out of pre cut pic

My cart is a bit different. I spend a lot of time restoring old tools and equipment and doing a little body work on old gas pumps, battery chargers and such so my work benches have my tools on the back wall and my cart is for the body work that is needed

Here is the cart empty

and the back side. You can see the blue box on the left. It is a dent puller, and the vacuum is air sensitive, it turns on when I have air going through the sander.

And here is a shot of my work benches with my hand tools

Thanks guys
Those benches are left overs from my bodyshop days.
They were a display at the Blackhawk booth at a collision industry convention / trade show and I had to have it. Being friends with the Blackhawk C.E.O. I talked him out of it.

Very well used, speaking of blackhawk, we still have the remains of a blackhawk/korek frame setup at work!

Thanks bodyguy

I put one of those systems inback in the early 80s to handle the unibody cars that had just come out.
I wish I had the tool cart that came with that system, the one that held all the porto powers and equipment

Just upgraded from the good ol Harbor Freight cart this week. It held up great, I just outgrew it. I really wanted an epiq cart, but that will be my next one. It's great except for the lock which is practically useless. You can pry the top open with your hands. I hope its adjustable or Ill need to send it back or something... Anyways Ill post some drawer pics in a few days

Nice first post.

I seem to recall a couple posts in the HF 4/5 drawer cart thread that added drawers on the bottom.

How she sits. Normally I have a tray of nuts and bolts on the left tray. I got the lights from Amazon for $30. They cover the top tray and top 2 drawers.
Right now I'm working as a trans r&r tech, and we get alot of vans/trucks so i'm pretty much 100% underneath and in the dark. Got tired of pulling out my light out of wherever I wedged it just to grab a socket. They are automatic so they turn off after a few minutes, and are working great so far.

And the bottom drawer is my junk drawer. The box has been great but the lock is useless. I'm going to have to modify it to work right, which ***** since i bought it new. You can pry the top slides open with your hands. Is mine defective or is that how they all came? Either way I feel like asking for some money off, or some free tool.

Thanks for looking/feedback

My KR-42, just acquired today. I just gave it a good wash and scrubbed the rust on the chrome legs with fine steel wool. The tools migrated over from my other boxes. I found it on Craigslist and paid $120. Any info regarding vintage would be appreciated. The can holder is from HF. Surprisingly good quality on that. I also replaced the lock, since seller did not have the key.

Also, does anyone know how to put a stay or gas strut on the top? Thanks.

Ok looking closer I see it. I've worked with a couple guys that had the 3 drawer one. Didn't know they made one like that.

Re: Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts "The Start of my Cart"

Here's a few pics of the Start of my Machine Tool Cart.

I started making a tool cart for my machine tools. Sawing the plastic up is the start of it. This is some tough stuff to saw.
I would probably benefit from a different blade, this one has 4-5 TPI, I'm thinking 2-3 would be a lot better.

I had to work this stuff back and forth to make the kerf a little wider and to help keep the blade from binding up as bad, it seemed to help quite a bit. The first cut was terrible compared to the rest, it bound up on me and even came off the wheels once, but not since I started working it back and forth. I drove a sawzall blade in the kerf to keep it from closing up too.

This stuff is 4" thick approx 34" long and 15" wide so I'll have enough to make a cart plenty deep and wide. Probably be about 28" deep and maybe 5' long

How much weight can you put on the tops when slid all the way open?

They say 120 pounds a piece... I don't know if I'd go that far but they are sturdy I've had a lot of tools on mine at once

I don't have pics yet but I figured I will tell you guys I ordered up a Snap On KRSC46 today. Our Snappy guy had his trailer full of new carts today and they are on sale. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a cart instead of a side box or locker for my Mac box. I'm a little ocd and it'll take a little getting used to having a Mac box with a SO cart. Lol. Depending on how much they hold I was thinking of getting a second one and eliminating my huge Mac box, that thing is getting harder to push around at work. I'll post pics next week.
