How much are they going for while on sale?

If you are referring to the SO KRSC46 cart they are on sale for $1588.50. My SO guy is giving me another $100 off. The original "not on sale" price is $1765.

I don't have pics yet but I figured I will tell you guys I ordered up a Snap On KRSC46 today. Our Snappy guy had his trailer full of new carts today and they are on sale. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a cart instead of a side box or locker for my Mac box. I'm a little ocd and it'll take a little getting used to having a Mac box with a SO cart. Lol. Depending on how much they hold I was thinking of getting a second one and eliminating my huge Mac box, that thing is getting harder to push around at work. I'll post pics next week.

My KR-42, just acquired today. I just gave it a good wash and scrubbed the rust on the chrome legs with fine steel wool. The tools migrated over from my other boxes. I found it on Craigslist and paid $120. Any info regarding vintage would be appreciated. The can holder is from HF. Surprisingly good quality on that. I also replaced the lock, since seller did not have the key.

Also, does anyone know how to put a stay or gas strut on the top? Thanks.

Cornwell boxes are underrated IMHO. I almost bought a 67" a few years ago and regret not pulling the trigger. Because my Cornwell guy went under. I love the drawer pull system. Best out there. And they are huge in person. 30" deep so they have a ton of room.

Thanks guy's, yes I am going to make some accessories for it next. I made it so I can put cans on the upper shelf and coolant jugs on the lower, it's a tight fit but they clear and the shelf's roll out. It was a labor of love lol lot of hours welding, grinding, and measuring. All the pivots are oversize drilled and have pipe welded in so they don't ride on the tube walls, the shelf's lock into place with a 5/8 or so steel bar that slides threw pipe welded into the tube and the bottom of shelf... was pia to make it all line up but she's smooth as silk and very tight. Not sure I'd do it again but really happy with how it turned out, glad it's over tho =D

Here my KRBC2TC that I had painted to match my box. I added the screwdriver holder on the left that came with one of my lockers and a can rack I scored off fleabay for cheap. When I added the hutch and lockers to my 1023 they came with the epiq style logos, so i added one to my box and put the old logo on the cart. I also took rubber truck mudflaps and cut them to size to use as liners.

This cart works pretty well but thinking about upgrading to a KRBC7TDPJJ for a little more space (picture attached). As you can see, once I finish up with an overhaul it can get pretty tight on space.

I ordered the basic two shelf cart in green a couple weeks ago. Got the trays and side shelf that don't exist anymore in a week. Still waiting on the chrome legs. Going on a month now....

On page 51 of this very thread I posted a photo of my custom KRSC46GPJJ as I purchased it and another photo on page 64 of it with the bottom 8" drawer swapped out for two more 4" drawers, however none of how I had each drawer laid out. Yesterday I finally started organizing my garage and started with the top half of my toolbox. Here are the results:


Custom ordered KRSC46GPJJ:

Socket area (kept directly under the lid; My large Snap-on Mopar ball joint sockets are what is missing in the 2 gaps towards the front):

Ratchet / extrension / universal drawer:

Screwdriver / file / interior panel puller / digital caliper drawer (screwdrivers will eventually be placed in the "sides" of the top along with my prybars...):

Hex Key / line wrench / misc wrench drawer (pay no attention to my broken O2 sensor socket : ( ):

Piers / wire stripper drawer:

Wrench drawer (Metric = 7mm - 24mm & SAE = 1/4" - 1-1/4"):

Hammer / air tool / drill bit / torque wrench / tape measure drawer:

The other 3 drawers are pretty much full of tools that are stored in their original blow molded cases...which still need to be organized!

Organizing my tool cart a little more I just used pvc to make the holders. Pre cut only spent like 7 bucks on it. Used the nuts and bolts from work.

Nope, most used in cart. Some duplicates most are ratchets screwdrivers etc

Yeah I do, because, if something breaks late in the afternoon on a job, I know I've got spares to rely on, until I get the chance to replace them!

I also when doubling up on tools have decided to have a good quality set, like Snap-On and Mac tools and then have a reasonable quality set, like Stanley and big box store reasonable priced stuff to keep costs down. But that's up to yourself how you go about! It's worthwhile doing, whether just DIYing or earning a living off of them.

I have all my 12 point sockets, wrenches, ratchets, pliers...I don't like as much in my main box so they're kinda duplicates since they do the same job.

I'm really liking the custom/homemade service carts.

Here's my contribution.
It started out as one of them little grey 16X30 service carts. I added a 3/4 plywood work top and hinged it so i could open it all the way and have it hang over the side. Later i liquid nails glued a sheet of 16 gauge stainless to the plywood work top. Then i added sides, doors, a print table... Well, it just kept going from there.

I've been working on it for about 3 years. It's been on several job sites with me. The very last picture is what it looked like yesterday after i added the box to cover the two cord reels.

As you can see, it doesn't work worth a **** as a tool box.

Getting tired of moving cords, air hoses and water hoses out of the way when heading to a different bay or back room to use the press or get parts. Modified this cart to go over all these and big enough to go over some employees that get in the way. 10 inch pneumatic casters get the job done smoothly across the shop or parking lot.

I'm a helicopter engineer so my tools have to be able to travel and (preferably) under 50lbs. Around the hanger tho I was still working out of my pelican case tool box so I bought this cart as a workstation. It holds the pelican and let's me unpack it a bit and holds some extra stuff that doesn't go in the road

First post on forum as I am a new member as of today. I received my new sidekiq in gun metal grey with titanium trim. I had custom drawer configuration, black wheels, black handle, and bed lined top added. Rather nice upgrade from my snap on krsc326. I work on construction equipment so it's nice being able to move where ever needed to work on the equipment. Still in the process of moving stuff around.

I work outside a lot at my shop, it's nothing but mud and gravel, not a very good environment for a tool cart but it's such a pain not having one and even in the shop it's pitted concrete and shards of metal and hoses everywhere so I had to make a custom job.
