Thinking about a Sunex 8035 cart with the sliding top. Worth the extra to me over the HF not to lose the work surface with the lid.

Have never had a cart and my big question to all that use carts, do you find yourself more likely to put tools away when done back into the tool cart versus working out of a bigger box farther away?

Thinking about utilizing the most used tools in this cart. I have a horrible habit of leaving stuff lay when I am done. And then another project starts and same thing over and over then I can't find any of the tools I need, lol.

My main tool or addiction is fragrances. I have an entire cabinet full and my "tool cart" with three shelves is full. I don't get this site where you can't upload a photo. I can't link to it because it is on a private setting in Facebook. Sigh.

I used two shelf carts from atd. All my mechanics had one. Tool boxes for storage and carts to work out of.

Hi all, I'm looking at getting a new tool cart. I've had my black HF $100 cart for over 6 years and its been great but its time to upgrade. I'm looking at the snap on krsc46 and krsc343 with the split stainless tops. My question is do the split tops open for storage or to place parts/tools when working? Thanks.

Here's my mac cart. I got it used from a old coworker. It's mostly just over flow from my box, the wheels **** so I don't roll it much. I have a 2 shelf basic bluepoint cart that I load up for actually working out of. I'd love to dump it for a krsc but I would probably still work out of my little bluepoint cart, haha!

This is my harbor freight tool cart. Thought about upgrading, but think it pretty much has everything I need for right now. 6e04f8cbc5dc05ef34357d9c74424337.jpg

I recently purchased a brand new Snap-on KRL-1022 in Extreme Green from a private seller (never even had the handle installed nor were the drawer liners removed from their protective plastic shipping bag). I will be customizing it (using a nice KRL-7022 in Extreme Green that I also recently purchased) and only need one box, so I handed off my two custom KRSC46's (one 9-drawer and one 7-drawer) to my father which simply replaced his early version standard layout KRSC46's. I then promptly sold his "old" KRSC46's on the local Craigslist and basically broke even on the carts.

At any rate, I just thought I'd share a side-by-side "goodbye" photo of two awesome roll carts...

Picked up this vintage snap on cart from 86'. Decided to do a quick restoration, gonna keep it at home for driveway work.

Day I got it.

^ I had a cart like that snap on, it came with a mac drawer & a bunch of cool vintage stickers. The previous owner must have been a drag racer. I wish I never sold it.

Here is my main cart. Minus one drawer of extensions, hex sockets, and misc other drive tools. Forgot to take pics of the bottom, but I keep a master torx socket kit, master hex socket set, wood blocks, zip ties, and a few other things that i can't remember at the moment.

ATD 70401. Great quality and not a bad price on Amazon. Got a free creeper seat with it.

They are a great cart. I have the exact cart in green. They are made by Homak If anyone is interested in knowing. Tech89, if you open your top right drawer, you will see the Homak decal.

Yeah I seen it. Kinda chuckled to myself when I seen it. You can actually see it in the picture of the top right drawer.

Why am I drawn to this cart like a moth to a flame?
Because it's awesome and fairly inexpensive compared to the alternatives, especially for for something that may or may not get beat up.

Picked this up today at HF. Had my eye on it for awhile and used my coupon to get it for $159. They were out of the side trays and wrench organizers but will have them on Wednesday which happens to be my next day off. I'm impressed with the quality so far and will be filling up the socket trays soon.

I've been wanting to post in this thread for a while.

Just dug my service cart out of the back of the garage, by moving around every damn thing to get to it.

Starting to stock it, so I can work out of it, to repair and maintain our vehicles. A lot of HF, metric, impact tools. Still need to find more space for SAE. Need a shelf, mounting for gloves, paper towels, pry bars, work light, air hose, outlet strip, extension cord, creeper, rolling stool and some other stuff outside. Have rubber mat for the top.

Here's the stuff so far:

The second step, after you stuff all the tools you can think of, into your cart, is to start weeding them out.

Taking a hard look at what I REALLY need, and what can safely be left a few steps away in the garage roller.

An example is gloves. I can grab a pair when I grab the cart, or just leave a fresh pair in it. Saves space. Pick one set of pry bars. Pick one set of each kind of wrenches and sockets etc.
Took torque wrenches out of their plastic cases to save space. Put impact screwdriver in the roller. Got to look at more.

Messing around today with the tools from my travel kit. After the pictures they went back in the Pelican case.

I used the Gearwrench career builder set 83091 as a packing list a few years back and this is what I put together.

Received this yesterday. Already scratched it too [emoji53]. Also I had to open up and drill one hole in the bottom so I could fit my big 36" pry bar.
