Been waiting on this since March. It is the rare TRACTOR GREEN color aka John Deere Green. Matches perfectly. It has the titanium trim and stainless steel top. New model roll cart, KRSC242. Comes with one painted side panel, the power strip with USB, cord wrap, and 1 speedrawer. I had an additional speedrawer added a d one additional side panel.

nice cart. I don't think that is titanium trim. That looks like the normal brushed trim. Titanium is darker almost like a black chrome, but not black.

this is Titanium trim on cranberry and the brushed on extreme green

I'd be pissed- are you? Not that it doesn't look good but if I'm ordering something from Snap-On (especially a box that's easily over $1k new) there was a lot of thinking and planning that went into it.

i agree...especiallly if waiting 5 months for it...

don't take this the wrong way, but I thought carts (unless an epic) couldn't be custom ordered? theres been alot of guys wanting the KRSC43/430 carts with black trim and not being able to ordering it that way. the only way there were getting the black trim was to order it for more than the price of the cart after the effect....

so dealer came yesterday and i asked him about the trim, he said that it is the titanium and the picture i took had a lot of reflection, it just looks lighter because of the color of the box and because the trim on the roll cart is smaller than toolbox trim

So I got an old Wilton woodworkers vise, cleaned it up and found I had no place to put it, so I mounted it to the fron of my handmade wooden toolcart

Between the butcher block worktop, cord reel, small red vise and now the Wilton, this thing is more a mobile work bench than a tool cart. I just can’t seem to stop adding to it!

What’s the cordless gun holder on the side?

Gotta admit that I skimmed through the 11-minute video. But nice cart.
Those tools are way . . .too . . . clean. Gotta get some use out of them.
All good man I didn’t feel like doing pics of the drawers so I was like well I’ll just make a 3 minute video. Then I finished and I was at 11...........
But I agree most of the stuff hasn’t been able to be used much yet since I don’t wrench for a living and works had me gone but now that things are settling back in they’ll get to work on some project cars

Nice thread, I have a lightly modded husky cart on my job site that I use all day every day. (im a sparky) it just has a few ladder hooks, tool hooks and a cup holder I drilled holes in. So it holds a coffee, an impact and some drivers. I plan on keeping that one as light as possible so I can take it up and down stairs myself when needed... but I just picked up 2 larger rubbermaid carts and plan on loading them out with all the conveniences one can have... receptacles/locking drawer(s)/vice/etc... I have to keep it more of a open cart then a tool box though because i have to load it up with large materials like lights, conduit, panels, bunch of hardware, wire and 1900 boxes... which changes every day. Plus my hand tools, a lot of power tools and some personal effects (bluetooth speaker/hoody/gloves) but I hope to get back on it this weekend. I hope to drop some pics if I can. Got a new phone and had to re-register with a noob acct. So no pic posting option yet...🙄

Angry Joe get the side shelf. It's great for holding the tools you're using for a job and writing on. I've had 2 of those carts. Upgraded to a matco with drawers all the way down when that 90% decreased too much. I do miss the bulk storage and smaller footprint.

This seems to be the thread for my Craigslist score :)
I was feeling the need for a tool cart, my 'frugal' nature sent me to Craigslist.
I figured an old AV cart with a two or three drawer middy box bolted in would be just the ticket.
Naturally nothing like that turned up anywhere near, but fun with search terms turned up a Lionheart med cart at an interesting price/distance.
Years ago I temped in a hospital stockroom and knew how sturdy these things were, after a phone call it turned out there were two of them and we made plans to meet up between snowfalls, $200 for the pair :)
These are built for controlling drugs in a hospital environment,. the first thing I had to do is disable the locks because I didn't get all the keys and the ones I did get were stamped 'Do Not Reproduce' :shocking:
The plastic insert side might not tolerate toolbox service, I might well be dismembering a side cab or two before I'm done, but the metal frame and drawers are *much* heavier duty than anything you'll get from HF.
If you're willing to look outside the box, used hospital gear can offer some good values if you can be in the right spot, equipment carts and such are usually built heavy with big high quality casters.

My previous cart was the 4 drawer from HF. It served its purpose but was damaged at my last shop and I out grew it. I had it near 2 years and it followed me around to a few shops. I actually had 2 of the side shelves on it, 1 on each side and took off the handle.

I was trying to get a used box like yours with the drawers all the way down, but financial and time restraints forced my hand into the new 5 drawer HF cart. So far, I like it. Not sure if I will add a side shelf to it yet.

I want to buy the new 26" rolling box from HF or something similar to store things I won't use every day. My boss actually has all the big, speciality and expensive tools I can borrow if needed. So I won't likely need to have a lot of additional storage any time soon.

As for sockets I have shallow, mid-length and deep chrome sockets at home. But for work, I decided to just keep those at home and bring only my impacts until I have a need for more sockets. I literally only have 1 chrome socket at work in the new box because my Snap On guy did not have a 7mm 3/8" deep impact and I have not met the new Snap On guy at the new shop yet.
I was at a shop where we worked on a lot of different cars and had a triple bank mac box with the 5 drawer cart. Worked out well there but now that I'm at a specialty shop I don't need nearly as much or move around as much. I kinda miss the bigger box but I love having the top open with everything I regularly use and the ability to roll it to another bay if I sell a job there. I would call it a 99% cart. I wouldn't mind having my old 4 drawer cart back for quick jobs. It was very mobile.

Posted awhile ago of my previous cart. Now getting around to updating it. Had a snap on green three drawer cart. Then in 2014 Ish, my snap on dealer brought out one of their new sliding top cart. Hemmed and hawded. Finally bought one. Traded in my old cart. Got more for it than I paid for it with my student discount.bb734c06a905f245ab683b6fa2dfb2b4.jpgdf5b43ac338818630c66887653e8fcab.jpg1d7c388b2223c1e823e995a2e9c32e34.jpgb64e707a749b565cbbe2632269f52e28.jpge7ba4a6914936d153b868f3a0546499d.jpgb154df724549b2789d58ab7ff027b428.jpg11ebbf66408caa300d28f3ab4ef3630f.jpg41b0aa67920aac03ceed9a7afc35cb63.jpg

That's one densely-filled box.

Can you still open the top with the cans on it? How much do you use the grease gun these days?

That's the beauty of this cart, even with the cans and other gear on the top, it still slides open to the sides.
As far as the grease gun, use it at least twice a week. A lot of the trucks I work on have grease zerks.

Free is always good.

I salvaged this off a guy making a scrap run, he had an open utility trailer & the bed of his full-size pickup filled with hard junk. This heavy-gauge (red) box was in it. The grey steel chest of drawers, too.

I think it's some vintage cabinet from a commercial garage, maybe someplace where they stored parts like for service of auto AC systems. It had 5" caster wheels & solid rubber tires on it, two were locking. I removed those and added a 3/4" wood floor, and a masonite back. I also covered the wood top, replaced by a former owner, with another piece of masonite I had in the cut-off pile. The Harbor Freight (HFT) furniture dolly on-sale contributed its casters, I'll use the rubber 5" ones I removed on another project.

The box is 16 gauge steel, it has a spring latch and a hole in the single door for a lock cylinder. The door is on a pair of long piano hinges; the shape of the door is curved side-to-side.

I added a half-shelf inside, and cut-out part of the inside sheetmetal at the front to give more room for whatever is going to be stored inside. You can see the inside shelf had a deep piece of sheetmetal below it, that I cut-off, for more room access, evident in the second picture.

I'll probably throw this onto craigslist (CL), since I didn't pay anything for it, my big expense was buying an on-sale HFT furniture dolly to get the casters.

I included a shot of what the box looked like when I pulled it off the scrap pile (first pic). I also got a steel chest of drawers, again, free.

The chest of drawers was a light-duty steel cabinet, the drawers weren't on slide-out brackets, no ball-bearings, not heavy-duty. However, each drawer had three long bins, with snap-in plastic dividers, and the dividers were still in plastic packs. There were some items in the drawers, a selection of a few dozen wire crimp terminals, three rolls of teflon tape, some 1/8" L-angle brackets, a bunch of small nuts, bolts, and washers, etc.

I'll scuff-up the paint, use some grey Rustoleum, and make it look better, and probably put it onto CL too.

Speaking of Cummins.

My previous motorhome (RV) had a 5.9 Cummins diesel engine that lasted only 26581 miles when the camshaft sheared. Cummins didn't think that it was their fault and I had to pay over $10k to get a rebuilt engine. All Cummins gave me was a 10% discount. Seriously, Cummins ?

Uhh... Sorry to break it to you, but the cart with the Cummins engine on top of it is a Snap On cart, NOT HF.

It's an older Snap On cart that has since be discontinued... That engine alone exceeds the working load rating of even the HF Series 2 5-drawer cart by 2-3 times.

I’m still confused. Why would he ever think a harbor freight cart would do that? Someone is drinking Chinese kool-aid.

And some people believe that HF carts are ****. I'm not sure a Snap-On or Crapsman can do that.

uhm what? lmfao

nothing HF here

snap on baby epic cart, KRSC101. rated for 2K lbs. also discontinued and replaced with KEMW361 with drawers all the way down.

maybe you missed the snap on cutout in the solid stainless top, or the drawer latches in the video......

no, your 189 dollar chiwanese cart isn't doing that once, let alone last after 7-8 years of daily use

It would do it once. In the form of a pancake on the ground.
