I have done some small adjustments to my toolbox this week, I started with the remote control unit and its wires and moved them down to the bottom of the box. I did built a electronic box for all the electronic stuff in there. When I did all this I started to think that it would be a very good idea to have 110v power sockets on the roll cabin. So the thing I got left to do is to find out how I should connect the roll cabin to power.

Here are some pics.

You should start your own thread about this project.

That buy the triple and get the hutch free deal had me doing some serious thinking. Good thing I really don't have the room in the garage.

Carder69,

That's an awesome setup. I think I would move in there permanently if I had something like that. Only think missing is a pull out drawer to put a bed in! Are you a collector or do you use alot of that stuff? I could see myself collecting it whether I would use it or not.

I can't afford the nice new boxes so I have to settle for OLD STUFF, (like me!). I have two Crapsman triplestacks for my hand tools:

A used snap-On and a Kennedy for my lathe and measuring tools:

And while its not a"Tool box" I also have a hammer tree to store my sheetmetal tools:

I Am more of a collector because my day job gets in the way. If I had more time I would never leave and work on projects.

I had the concept of a walk in toolbox and I designed it from the ground up. It is inside a 40x60pole barn. Heated and flat screen make it difficult to go back in the house.

Lista toolboxes are very dangerous to the wallet since I hate having empty drawers.

just update the pictures as i had brought a my matco MSC12 to home and bought a menards masterforce 36" bottom full wide box to work today...

i need to contact the masterforce box company to order the extra slides to put on because i had to pull bottom drawer out to use slides to double on top drawer... i has too much on first drawer but that my daily use tools...

i did swap the top two narrow drawers for deep drawer from bottom.. that why it look little odd.. BUT that work for me!!!

Keep us updated Andy as to how the Menards box works out for you. I have (3) 41" base boxes, (2) side boxes and (1) 41" top box. I didn't know you could swap the drawers around, but I guess I never looked that close either. I'm anxious to see how they hold up in a work environment. Although I have one of my bases at work it never gets moved around.

OK i will do update about mine later. i tried to swap the drawers but the three 3"drawers ARE NOT interchange... it is kind disappointed to me BUT when i did fill up the tools on masterforce box from my retired matco MSC12, i am happy that three 3" deep drawers fit and work GREAT! WHEW!!!

i am keep moving it around shop because i has work between Focus to F-550... also it make lot better size to go where i want and i dont worry about open the top slide lids because MSC12 are 35" as closed but when open, it is extend to 72"... so it made more diffcult for me to keep it open all time because other techs will push it close to make a way to walk by or move the cart... so that why i had brought MSC12 home BUT i did asked for add on drawers for mine, matco want 600 dollars. so i went to menards to buy it for only 359 dollars plus damn taxes... so i am happy!

when i brought it to my work, some of techs told me i HAVE a problems of tools and tool storages... i told them i has use all of them EVEN damn you that you use mine!!
