Here's a crappy cell phone pic of mine...i consider it my poor man's double box. I originally had the bottom roller, two intermediate's(one on another shelf) and of course the top. Then picked up the two side cabinets off kijiji, then wanted to use both intermediates on the same box......so this is what i came up with.

I must say you have a very diffident set up from anything i have ever seen before

That's a pretty cool set up. I would have never thought of something like that. NICE!

Trdtaco...Couple Questions for you.

1st what are the things in the gray tray in ratchet drawer. Pic is fuzzy to me so can't get detail.

2nd What are the funky ViceGrips in hammer drawer for? Can't say I have seen that design before.

Thanks

1. the long t handles are blue point speed handles.. there awesome.. good for snugging down alot of bolts quick before you torque em.. you just hold that blue part and spin the **** out of the t handle.. do not really use the 1/4 drive and the 1/4 hex ones too often because the handle does not have enough weight to keep it spinning
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?item_ID=644913&group_ID=682222

2. the wierd vise grip thing is a motorcycle clutch holder tool.. the nubs alow you to insert them in to holes or grooves in the clutch basket and hold it from spinning so you can loosen the nut to pull of the basket..

YZ_rider, very nice, especially for being 15. Got any more pics of the older red toolbox?

Thanks Jeff! And yup. Moved lots of stuff in the garage today and snapped a few for you. This, Along with another C-man box hiding in the garage was given to me from my grandfather. These boxes are built like tanks. Even with friction slides, the more you put in a drawer, the smoother the pull is.

Mostly tooling for my drill press and my Shop-Smith. In the drawer with the vises, the pieces of metal are for clamping down items on my drill press which I built.

Continued. Rest of the pics. Last picture is of the drill press I built. Built one because I didn't want any import. It's accurate :).

This is a kind of toolbox.just picked up my 60" Lista bench yesterday and uncrated and assembled it this evening. Haven't taken the protective covering off the stainless top yet as I have to take it off again once I find some rubber feet to put on the bottom of the pedestals (hence why there's cardboard under it). This ****** is flippin heavy so being able to take the top off makes it easier to flip the pedestals on their side. Not an exact match to snap on's orange but damn close!

Gally: under that quiet, unassuming, quintessentially Canadian Mastercraft red-like-our-flag toolbox, lurks............an American heart of world class tools! :)

Did you knock off a Snap-On truck?! Very, very impressive! Thanks for the pics. I wish my box was that organized.

Pics of the contents?

What kind of work do you do? :)

Overall picture of tool box. This is my home toolbox. My work toolbox is a Snap-On KRL but a little smaller and doesn't have nearly as many tools. Most of the specialty and larger tools our employer provides so my work tool box just has the basics along with pneumatic and those that I don't want to use of the companies because they are either broken all the time or never seem to get put back where they belong.

Here are a few of the drawers. I finally got around to taking a few pictures.

Sockets. SAE on the left and Metrics on the right.

Wrenches, again SAE on the left and Metric on the right.

Coolant/hose tools. These are probably my newest addition as you can tell by how clean/new they look. I gave my mix-matched ones to my son and bought a set of hook tools from Snap-On a few weeks ago.

WOW! That's a heck of a set up.....and I have a thing for Orange anyway!

Whenever I see another guys set up, I like to think about what I can get done with it, what it might be missing, or what I might like to add to my set-up that I may have not thought of.

That set is very complete, I'd think a guy could just about cover everything.

Thats a great idea putting the 4-way angle wrenches upside down in the rack, ive never had a good way to store mine. Thanks!

No problem. Those ones seem to clear the underside of the socket drawer better than I thought they would when I set this drawer up. It is close but they clear.

That's a neat set you got there. Where did you get the wrench holder trays? I'm going to need to mimic that configuration. I think my drawer is as wide and long as yours. Thanks for sharing that with us. Been wanting to find a way to organized my SAE and Metric wrenches for awhile.

just added this to the collection today
IMG_2830.jpg

This is exactly like my first one. All of my friends wanted a senior trip for graduation from high school and I wanted a tool box. My parents bought me my first tool box for my graduation and it was this same one. Boy does that bring back memories, that was in 1987.

This is nothing compared to a lot of you guys but I'm just a weekend wrencher  Just picked up this KR1000B off CL a couple weeks ago for a pretty good price. Had to replace all the detents, one set of slides, and pretty much all the bump stops. Anyway, here it is after cleaning it up a bit, still in process of moving stuff over from my older Husky top/bottom 40" and my HF 42" cab. Haven't moved everything over but here's a few pics of some of the dawers. I just can't get over the 29" deep drawers, didn't know what I was missing  Also have some liners on order.

Thanks guys! I'm impressed at how many of you guys have stuff this big and expensive at home! It's a little easier for me to justify to the wife when I earn my living with it!

Very nice setup. Love the color, although I am a traditional "red" toolbox person.

I used to be, until I saw another box this color on the tool truck. It doesn't show up in the distance photos, but it's a textured finish called "Black Silver Vein." Cleans up real nice, doesn't show dirt and fingerprints from a distance.
