lol...this makes that snap on pic so much more funny. check it out, i can stand in my 300 dollar box, right next to you in your 3000 dollar one...hahahaha

totally renders the 'will they stand in it' argument useless.

i like the drawer setup too.

a KRL1033 is over 10k.

With My US general the drawers slid worse as you loaded them up, with my snappy they slide better and better. Not saying a US general box is bad and not saying Snap on doesnt gouge you. I bought my KRL7023 for $2,900 in very nice used shape, then got all new slides under warranty, but I will say, you do get more quality. I loved my US General for what it was, but didn't put down others because of it. Both have their place. I think the main ripoff is going in between. people paying a lot of money for something halfway between cheap and high quality. Go all out or stay with cheap until you can afford it.

Absolutely agree. I replaced my masterforce box at home and my craftsman at work with used snap ons. My masterforce was a good box, but when it got to small I decided to go used vs a new montezuma or something. I'm quite happy with both, but I wouldn't rub it in someone's face that they don't have a snap on, or that they have a us general. I have a us general service cart that's great for the money.

Now, try this with the same footprint of the drawer:

I think there's a cinder block under the drawer. Easier than photoshopping.

Which post is this photoshop accusing aimed at? The black box or something with about standing in the drawer? Going back in this thread it seems the first comment was aimed at the black box post but the cinder block seems to lean towards a drawer comment.

If it is the black box I examined it in PS and can not find any part pieced together or patched in. Plus the logo on the tops of the cabinet are uniformed and look natural when the doors are switched lefthand to righthand. And the locks on the wheels are at different positions.

I don't think half the people commenting after the initial photoshopped comment knew where they were directing their shenanigans.

I blew it up and yes one could question the black shadow under the shoe, along the red tank, and the wavey line at the shoulder. All the lines on the left side have a shadow but that may also be correct if the camera used a flash. However the contents of the drawer don't appear to be swished properly. The brightness of the reflecting light on the right side looks very convincing.

A better way would be to inspect the EXIF data of the picture. My free EXIF Viewer expired already. Perhaps, someone who's an avid photographer here in GJ can inspect it for us.

Well not if he made a copy of a copy and resave it. Or had the data info turned off. No data would show up. here I compared the pixels and all pixels should be equal in their shading into another color but here the black doesn't apprear to shade instead it cuts off quite sharp. Which may indicate it was laid on top of the background image.

Here is all the data the original photo copied off GJ has to offer. Photoshop has a built in data reader. Some low end cameras don't have data writing options. Or you can go and erase it all inside PS just as easy.

Yea, I just got one of those 4-drawer Craftsman portable boxes. Had a heck of a time finding one. The 3-drawers are everywhere. Lots of sockets, no screwdrivers, pliers? Does anyone make a 4-drawer portable box that is deeper??

Really surprised we have this many CSI photoshop guys here on the GF.

The 4 drawer has the remains of sockets and old extensions i didnt need in my work box mostly metric. I will fill screwdrivers and pliers as i replace the ones in the work box or when i find some on sale. I still have a couple hundred bucks to put into the work box before i worry about filling out the red craftsman lol.

Cool set up.
Question, where do you buy foam like this?

sears has them for $20 for two sheets. The bottom is the drawer liner that was included in the box when i got it. The blue foam is much cheaper and comes from the camping isle in wal mart.

It is worth it. I won't do the sleeping foam on anything i would be working out of on a regular basis, fairly sure it will break down fast i just wanted to try it out to see if it was something i could save money on lol.

Honestly, I think this is real. It's probably is a Lista (or something similar). I can do this on my Lista since its per-drawer capacity is 440 lbs. You never mentioned what type of box it is, right?

not a pelican case but similar, i believe. Bought it online, unfortunately i can't remember where. Sorry

Pelican makes a similar box i used in the air force and it is really handy. Shadow board the drawers to prevent chaos. Pelicans version also has configurable drawer sizes. If it weren't for skydrol used in civilian aviation its the box id have for daily use tools. The kipper boxer were nice I've used those but the pelican toolbox was my favorite line tool box.
