Hey, I love that locker. My Snap on dude has got one in stock I swear he picked it up knowing that I wanted one. He called me up and said I could have it for 25% off. I have to admit I'm thinking hard about it.

I love that color.
I've sold off my Red KRL1003 and other boxes and am now waiting for an Orange KRL1003 to show up for a good price on craigslist in my area :bounce:

<>Severed<>, what's holding that side locker onto the box?

I'm hoping it's not just the two little screws that go into the side handle mount. :shocking:

i just curious. did you check what is your route is? good or bad? my snap on guy are good to me as make good deal and service to me as good! but other techs dont like him... so well... :headscrat:headscrat

Yes, my good friend is doing the route currently and has some high end shops and good customers. Unfortunately he doesn't have the time to keep driving the route and operate his other business, so im taking over the route.

It has a lip that hangs on top of the toolbox and then the bolts go into where the handle goes just to stop it from moving. but as heavy as it is I dont think it would go anywhere but better safe then sorry. ill take a pic so you can see tomorrow.

I got mine for a steal it was in a buddys garage but just happend to be almost the right one (it is 4" shorter then the box if you look close you can see it in the pic) I did some trading and its mine. It has been really handy for what I needed i want another one for the other side but it will have to wait for a little bit.

Agreed, but... we need more of the stang. More details and pics?

mustang.jpg

It's a 65 my wife found on Craig's List. 289 2bbl. Dual exhaust w/o H-pipe. C4 (my wife isn't too keen on a stick). It was running when we bought it for a very reasonable price. Interior is fine except the dash needs to be repainted. The (new) carpet was appearently installed by a retarded monkey. They cut a hole for the gas pedal... :headscrat

Exterior is another story. It looks like it was painted with a roller... Engine runs but is down on power, leaks oil out of 27 different places.

I put in new H4 headlights, new radio, an amp, speakers, rear springs, 1" front sway bar (best $80 I ever spent...) We drove it for a while but then decided to really fix it. My brother-in-law has a fox body that he takes to the strip. He and his friends have a lot of "low performance" engine parts laying around. I bought a freshly machined 302 block with new pistons from him for $200. Then he found me a 4bbl Ford intake and Holley carb for $40 total. Before he gave it to me, he even put the intake in the hot tank at work and then painted it... I'm almost ready to pull the old engine. I'll keep that one, but once I have the body cleaned up and painted, I'll put the 302 in so we can drive it again. I want to get it drivable sooner rather than later (my wife is bugging me about it, too :) Later on, I'll restore the 289 and eventually swap it back in.

Sorry, I don't really have any other good pics except the 300+ I took so far during disassembly. Those aren't very exciting, though...

Zuspiel how do you like that Aircat air ratchet is it fairly quiet?

Yeah, it doesn't wake up the whole house (or neighborhood :). I have to get it exchanged, though. It's had a small air leak since I bought it. I just haven't gotten around to it... Works fine, though.

The aircat tool where the noise makes the biggest difference is the angle grinder, since you run it much more. Plus it has a trigger that doesn't pinch you. I love that thing.

nice car and set up - it's good to see some different boxes.

Thanks! The boxes work well for me and they both were floor models and about 60% off. And I didn't even have to put the first scratch in them :) They do bug the wife since they're not "color coordinated" but you can't argue with cheap...

Nice '65. I'm in the middle of my '66 right now. I'm keeping the 289 with a few mild upgrades. The C4 has been rebuilt and I'm going through the suspension right now. Shelby drop, drop coils, the usual. The project is taking forever though since I'm pretty picky about stuff. I started saying I would just rebuild the suspension but then I was sandblasting and refinishing EVERYTHING. I would also probably have it done if I hadn't been working on this car non-stop...

Along with this one...

But they are essentially funding my tools and project so I can't complain. Good luck with your project.

Now that's a nice looking 'stang! And a nice car to work on to fund your project.
I don't think I'll drop mine (well, maybe a bit in the front so it actually sits level). If I want handling, my daily driver is very, very hard to beat (should be identifiable from one of the pics above)...

I'm in the same boat as you: I only wanted to pull the engine, replace all the gaskets, put it back in, and have it painted. Now, I'm taking every damn bracket down to bare metal...

Thanks! I use the 22" Cobras constantly and they basically act as big *** pliers, chain wrench and pipe wrench in one. Most commonly I use them on an adjuster which is 2 hubs (approx 7 -8" diam) that thread together. It is used to adjust the pulley on a variable speed drive. Both pieces are made of cast. A chain wrench does kinda work but often slips and the pipe wrench's teeth (it's a Rigid) aren't hard enough to bite in. So for this job, my Cobras work the best for me.

Severed

Great looking boxes and tools. Can I assume the box marked "Off limits - Do not touch" is your good set of drill bits? I don't let anyone touch mine either.

JimL

Great looking box and tools. Is that a KRL722 or 1022?

Zuspiel

Again, great looking tools and boxes. Who is the manafacurer of the hex bits in the holder with the clear cover? Thought they might be PB Swiss. They look really nice, how do you like them?

Anyway, thought I'd add a couple of pics that I missed in my last post, just some sets etc:

n625182002_1603074_7909.jpg

My ratchets. Please note that I probably have another 20 -25 ratchets but I am a tool "minimalist". I only keep the best of my stuff in my work boxes. I'm not one of those guys who likes to keep all his extra/duplicate/**** stuff in his box 'just in case'. As soon as something in my box gets upgraded, it's goes home to the garage box.

n625182002_1603073_7525.jpg

Mini metric wrenches (2-6mm), Snap-On hex and hex-ball drivers, Lisle tap sockets, SK crowsfeet, Lisle torx bits and some misc hex driver and 8pt sockets.

n625182002_1603075_8267.jpg

Snap-on extractor set (this OEM sells through many people, Mac etc) and Snap-on swiss needle file set.

n625182002_1603076_8628.jpg

Another Snap-on extractor set (again, as with most extractors, made by another OEM and sold by many people), Mac impact driver and Snap-on roll-pin punches.

n625182002_1603077_8975.jpg

Mac LH cobalt drill bits and another extractor set.

Thanks for looking again guys.

I love this thread and can't wait to see some more tools and boxes.

Thanks. Unfortunately mine doesn't look like that yet. I'm working on a '70 Mach 1 428CJ R code for the same guy right now. It should be finished this spring.

Thanks. I'm doing the drop and 17" wheels on the '66 so it will definitely be more restomod than restoration. I picked up on the M3 in the pics. Grabbed my attention right away, nice car.

Thanks! Also notice every single, solitary, last tool is engraved, so I hope Merkava doesn't see this!:lol_hitti

Nothing wrong with engraved tools, heck, I wish all mine were engraved. I never let simple engraving slow down my purchases either.

(And before someone jumps my *** I have always avoided purchasing anything stolen!)
