hmm, nothing close to what some people have but it works for me as a hobby machinist and hobby woodworker. My main boxes with metalworking gear.

Yea it is really an interesting design idea that they seemed to drop like a bad habit, so I was curious if there was a performance issue with them. :dunno: From what I have seen they are more popular in the Asian and European markets and especially with the motorsports folks. It took me a while to figure out that the peg board stores tools top up when the lid closes.

Old school from 90's? :shocking: Shoot that's like modern tool box technology to me.

The only two I know built like that are the KRA63 and the somewhat smaller 3 drawer KRA66 which you seek.

When I say old school, I mean the tools on the peg board most of the 70s F1 teams had boxes set up like that, try one they are cool :)

After the HF welding cart halfway matched the color of the toolbox I had to buy a rollcart that matched. I don't have a pic of the ol beat snap on one that was given to me but the wheel ended up breaking off so I welded it up and gave it to the new lube tech at work.

1980's craftsman rebranded Waterloo. Bought it in Philly for 200 and spent the weekend sanding it down and painting. Built like a tank. Came loaded with really big diesel caterpillar hand tools. Sold some of them off.

Got this a couple years ago after reading nissancrawlers review. Been lurking around ever since. Thought I'd take a few pictures and show it off a little. Its a 72'' Montezuma elite. I haven't had any problems with it except the top is warping a little. I started off with mostly craftsman tools until the snap on and cornwell trucks started coming to the shop a few years ago. I've been slowly upgrading as I can afford.

They were really nice boxes. I think it's a shame that Snap On's current offerings aren't great with the smaller KRA series top chests. It would be nice if they reintroduced some of them!

Nice start. I started with MAC and I am now back to them. I have every brand, but love MAC. I was just wondering why you went with 12 point sockets? 6 pts are the way to go bro.

Doesn't this snap on box resemble the harbor freight 56". I think the dimensions are very comparable.
****this is a real snap on box.......I am just using it to show how similar it is to the harbor freight.
Again I am just stealing the pic for comparisons sake. It's a very nice box.

Thanks, I love it. It was a great first box. I have had to start using an overflow tool cart to keep some of the other random stuff I don't have space for in my tool box. I am toying with getting the top cab for it, but the 18" deep drawers compared to a 24" on newer boxes just too tempting. Plus I need deeper drawers and would like a full width top drawer. That and I enjoying using my tool box as a work bench.

Old setup of the top drawer, everything fit....

more pictures to come, everything has been upgraded everywhere. I don't have any more room in the box.

Mac drawer liners are some of the best, super tacky non slip.its like it sticks to the tools, they barely move.the down side is they are a pain in th *** to put in as it will stick and unlike other liners, the Mac liners don't slip around.

It bugged the **** out of me too so I fixed mine, looks like he needs to take some time to remove the liners and reinstalled them.

Dan got it. The top is just something like MDF covered in a thin covering of stainless and the corners are starting to lift.

Funny thats what my MATCO stainless tops is made like. Mine ended up warping/ delaminating in the middle. It was warrantied and i talked him into letting me keep the old one so i threw it up top till i find something to do with it.

Cool thanks. What did they run you? I have to check in on a pair of them next time SO comes around. I don't think I'd use them that much but I sure as hell could have used them this past Monday

Nice Snap On box as well as the Mac. I got a deal on a newer Snap On roller. They were built tough in the day, Hard to open, But Tough.

Had the mid, lower, and side but took forever to find a top Mac I really wanted. Found the top after a year of hunting, and the guy had it in a barn next to a wood stove. The soot on that box makes my 60's bottom look new by comparison.

Nothing... :dunno: I use the drawer pulls as they were designed so it's not a huge issue.

I use about a drop or 3 of dawn in a spray bottle to apply decals on machines, I used that to clean my box as well. Probably need to quick wax it since dawn will take wax off :willy_nil

I use some spray wax. My tool box came with a care kit and that's what came in it.

I go grab the window cleaner to clean all the heavy dirt off (we use floor dry here and all the fans seem to be set up that I'm on the wrong side and always have a layer of dust) then use the Meguiars Final inspection detailer (only because that's also what the wash bay uses) No left over white wax left. I really like it.
