6 full length draws!!

Must be nice!

Best thing ever. Custom ordered the drawer configuration.

When you guys are at what ever shop you work at, how is it decided how big a box, how much space, uh, what kind of footprint you can take up? At some point won't you start encroaching on the next guy's space? I guess it's different at dealerships; they seem to have more space.

I don't know how to say it without sounding arrogant, but yeah...the shop doesn't have a choice. They'll make room for me. The last dealership I was at paid all my moving expenses ($5700) + a $4000 sign on bonus, and gave me all the room I wanted. Now I work at a small specialized independent, and I pretty well have 5 bays at my disposal. If anything were to happen here, I imagine my resume would pretty well guarantee me all the room I'd need. If not, I'd just be screwed! I imagine most with boxes like mine are in similar scenarios. If not, well, they aren't gonna be around long anyway.

Seriously? I can't even win one damn day? How long did that take to come in with the custom drawer setup?

LOL. Sorry bout that. I ordered it the week after black friday, and everything showed up this week. Long damn wait, but I'm stoked now. I still want another locker and 2 more overheads to complete the build for OCD's sake, but that's gonna have to wait another year or so until I can pay this off.

That's a LOT of green lol! Saw your other thread, **** it up, KEWL led and be done. Overpriced sure, but the switch setup is pretty darn nifty. :lol_hitti

That switch setup is ****...I'd just never use it. My box is only closed about once a week or so, and even then it's only long enough to wipe/wax the door and open it again. I'll probably still end up buying it...

We have the space but moving a 3-bay box around a shop with 6 truck and trailer depth bays is well, quite the feat. My next box is going to be a 57" Proto and it's about as big as I want to go. I frequently move all the way across the shop and back several times a day and it's quite often an obstacle course to make it where you want to be.

I've always got the box I've wanted and got the space I've needed to accommodate all my equipment at every shop I've worked at. Not trying to sound arrogant, but that's how its been.

By my crappy math, I have close to $70,000 crammed in my 1022, couldn't imagine what it takes to fill a Mr big and then some. My hat is off to you sir.

VDT1977 >>>> now we all gotta see the drawer pics

I agree. I know he is a VW man. I'd love to see the stash of specialty tools he has!

Gonna take awhile to get this hoe organized to my liking. But, back in the first week of January, I posted most of my drawer pics from my 84" epiq in this thread.

Hey how's that new micro drill?

Been debating if I want to drop cash for that or not.

Havent moved my tools into it yet but will give you some empty pictures. Found this box on craigs list from a guy who was getting out of the auto tech industry and wanted out from under his mac bills. Box is a year old and not a scratch on it. Got the whole setup for $3500!!! Couldnt pass a 10-12K box for that money. 3 bay 70" with hutch and stainless top. Now to start moving my tools into it!:rocker:

Anyone managed to bag one of the black/extreme green combo Snap on box's ?

My dealer has told me they are on promo in March, thinking of getting one. I'd be interested to see what it looks like.

I seen one of those extreme green with a black top like a rhino liner. There was one on Craigslist by me.

All new slides in '13
Several deep drawers now have double slides
One 4" drawer moved to the top on the right bank

Custom Berry Spray from Snap-on

Yes, the KRA heritage series is.... Yet in this application for a top chest the 15 drawer 5315 series is more suited to my required system of storage.

I acquired the Craftsman stack new in '03. A recent re-grease of the slides and it is now all happy again. :D
