Nice box - How do you like the Tekton combination wrenches? I've been eyeing them up to replace my ancient "Companion" set from Sear, but I'm hesitant because I can't see how they feel in the hand.

Thanks. I like them, very well made, nice chrome and they feel good 👍
I have one of the larger Tekton bundles as a tool set starter/builder at work. I'm not unhappy with any of their tools. The screwdrivers like @Maxcustody has aren't my favorite (I prefer Snap-On/Williams hard handles) but everything else is great.

I agree on not liking the screwdrivers.....................I will probably use them for easier stuff and don't care if I screw them up. I love my Snap on screwdrivers!

I don't need it, as I've got plenty of storage as it is. It doesn't work in my shop layout. (The only viable place to put it is to replace the pair of 26" rollers with MDF over them that was the outfeed support for my table saw, but it's 4" higher than my table saw, so I gotta either remove the casters or raise the table saw.) They wouldn't sell me the dinged up floor model at a discount, so I paid full price. It took an hour to buy & load onto my trailer and then two hours to unload by myself. The big power tool charging drawer on the left is useless to me. And I'm gonna quickly nullify its main selling point by piling **** on it.

But ... look at it. Just look at it. It is magnificent. That stainless split top is sublime. I've been ogling this every time I'm in a Home Depot for years now. I had a little scare that they're being discontinued, so I finally broke down and bought it, despite everything I listed in the first paragraph.

The problem I'm having now is deciding what's important enough to go in the top so that I'm disinclined to render the lids unopenable by piling stuff on them and what's so important that it has to be in the upper large drawer instead so that I've still got access to it when I inevitably DO pile stuff on the lids and can't open them. (Both sides open, I just happen to only have the left lifted in these pictures.)

Fun game: Take a shot for every random piece of wood you see stacked on or leaning against a tool or car or whatever in these pictures. Die of alcohol poisoning.

I'll play.

Got this last year after outgrowing my old husky 66" box. Now that I've got 3 muscle cars in the garage I needed everything in one place instead of all over the garage.

Bought another 40" box yesterday. Bit of shuffling and reorganizing today, still more to do but a huge improvement on previous setup. Odd drawer setup, i know, but they're moved to suit my needs.

Yellow trolley i bought a week ago. My mate bought it new and never used it.

I was aiming for something like that, but ended up with a slightly less uniform look… the KRL boxes came first tho, and I can’t quite justify replacing them just to get it looking uniform.

All bought second hand…

That's a nice setup. I had a KR top box that style, with skinny drawers on the right and a mid section. Sold it and of course wish i hadn't.

I have the 56" Icon box with hutch. So far I've been very pleased with it for my home garage. The only problem I've had with it is the powder coating is flaking off the lower part of the right side panel. It looks like there's some surface rust under the powder coat.

At some point I'll add an end cabinet and side locker once I've acquired enough tools to begin to fill them. ;)

I agree about their high torque handles. They just don’t feel good in my hands.

Their hard handles? Absolutely love them. They feel like perfection in my hands.

I always reach out to Tekton asking if they plan on making the nut drivers in the hard handle: nope. Or the 1/4 but driver in the hard handle: nope.

Bummed out.

Bumping this back since this is one of my favorite threads. My always changing collection of toolboxes has another vintage snap on in the stable. A rare KR1000C with the KR1050 deep top drawer option, I've only ever seen one other one. Traded my blue KRL1022 straight up for this and it's cleaned up beautifully. This one is a keeper. Heres a few pictures of it along with most of my home collection.

This is one of the coolest things in the thread by far.

My harbor freight showcase...

That’s an awesome set up. Back when the US Generals were super cheap this is what I was aiming for (just one side locker though)

At their current price I’ve been looking around at other options that are slightly more money, less real estate but maybe better boxes.

But what you have is fantastic.

Thanks! I've collected these from various sales and coupons over the last several years, but even at current prices, I would probably would have gone the same route since the 22" depth is about as deep as I can go. The picture is a bit staged because I have other tools/machines that sit along the side walls that would interfere with a deeper box with drawers at full extension.

I've had a vision about a long continuous work surface across the back wall of my shop since before I owned either of the 44" boxes, and I considered various combinations of 26, 44, 56, etc but as you can see, the 2 44's with side lockers and the 14.5" cab are almost a perfect fit. Also, I can roll the 14.5" out and stand or sit in that spot without my knees hitting the boxes which is nice.

Sockets are not organized well.
Find that my go to is a wrench of some sort before a socket.
Thinking making my own socket organizers some day possibly.
All over the place with wrench mfg's, Heinz 57 of Beta, Hazet, Cornwell, Snap-On, Bonney, Craftsman, Facom, USAG01.jpg02.jpg03.jpg04.jpg05.jpg06.jpg07.jpg08.jpg09.jpg10.jpg

I just about have my top drawer filled. I have space set aside for 1/2” impact swivel sets but haven’t splurged yet. There are still a few things I could condense if I need to squeeze in more, but I’m happy with the density.
