years ago i saw a guys stack KR roller cabs to gain much needed storage in cramped truck shops.
i stacked side cabs with my kr550/555, even after i added 2 more roller cabs.
Safe to say that there's plenty of storage there.

Hi all
Long time admirer of the site, so I thought I would add my 2 cents worth.
Just turned 20 and qualified as a BMW tech, so I thought id treat my self to a descent box, its KRA 40", it's only about 70% full at the moment but filling it is most of the fun, its mostly SO and bluepoint stuff because it gets used day in day out. Keep up the good work, some of the boxes/setups on here guys are amazing.

My first box was that same Snap On KRA setup but with the drawers that go all the way across no splitting in the middle. Great first box and lasted me the first 12 years of wrenching before I got the bigger setup I have now. I too like the setup on the top box.

Thanks man I wanted one ever since I first saw one on the truck way back when I was starting out. Of course I couldn't afford one then but I got this one used last year on CL and I couldn't pass it up. Most people don't dig the color but I think it's great.

That's a nice ride. I'm hoping to get a 55 one day and make it look like the car from two lane blacktop. If I could get your friends car for what I paid for the box I'd do it in a heartbeat.

My toolbox is a Kennedy Professional from Cromwell in the UK.
The top contains my sockets. Mostly Gedore 12pt 1/2" stuff. The special (torx, spark plugs) is Kennedy.
The second row contains Were, Beta, Gedore screwdrivers on the left and Gedore and Stahlwille pliers on the right.
The third row contains hammers and tins snips, wire strippers, etc.
The forth row contains vise grip, staple gun, Stanley knife and other general stuff.
The fifth row contains my wrenches. All Gedore in metric. The allen keys are Kennedy in metric and imperial.
The sixth tow is files, saws and a spirit level.
The bottom tray is not show and contains assorted small stuff like glue gun, soldering iron, etc.

Apparently, a large number of these Stahwille rollcabs were imported in the 60s. I am told the local Mercedes Benz dealer used them in its workshop. By the time I was looking for one, I could only find this one, NOS, in a gasoline station owned by a car enthusiast.
This is possibly the coolest thing I've seen on GJ so far (and there's a lot of cool things here!)
I've done a few web searches and haven't been able to find anything about these, other than GJ. Where can I find more info or pics?

Mike, I bought this Stahwille Rollmaster in about 1979. Even then I was lucky to find it. Like you, I searched the web and found nothing. I don't know when the model was discontinued (my guess is early 70s) or if Stahwille (a German company) made a subsequent model. It is beautifully made and the trays swing out very easily and smoothly.

Hey guys, I've been lurking for a while so I figured I'd join and post a pic of my work box. I'm 22 and work at the Land Rover dealership here as a technician. I bought this box mostly full of tools although I still somehow find myself buying tools every week... Pretty much all of my stuff is Snap On since that's the only truck that still comes by our dealership consistantly. The box is a 75th anniversary box, but I removed most of the badges and took off the gay mural on the lid which pictured some crappy American cars of various vintages. I think some of you will like my new dark green hard handle Snap on screw drivers ($99!).

2003 Disco owner here who's all too familiar with the erm, quirks of the brand. I practically keep Atlantic British in business...
No doubt the cack handed design & engineering keeps you busy & gainfully employed, but sometimes I wonder what the team in Solihull were smoking when they signed off on the final plans:
"Okay, so let's wedge the ignition coils hard against the firewall, install non-greasable U-joints on the propshaft and make sure the three brake warning lights come on & off at random for no apparent reason once the vehicle drops out of it's warranty period". Marvelous.
Yet despite their eccentricities I can't help but love 'em.

The lady from Stahlwille told me production of the "Rollmaster" stopped "about 20 years ago". There are also no spare parts in stock anymore. So the only chance would be to look on ebay, craiglist or search google for "Stahlwille Rollmaster" etc.
There was one sold in switzerland lately for 72 CHF

That's the truth! Random ABS lights are easy to fix though. PM me if you need any advise on it.

I had those and found that a lot of my sockets other than Craftsman [and even some of those] won't fit the openings.

I used them for almost a year. It was a love/hate relationship.
I pulled them out and now just have snap on metal rails that I paid WAY too much for that are loose and crappy. Guess its time for something else.
