Quickly running out of room if I'm not already there.
I finally got around to doing more organizing this morning. I've also been making changes and gearing up when I can for possibly going back to turning wrenches on heavy equipment.
Still some things I need to buy, depending on the job I get or when I have money to spare.
I have more of just about everything, but anything not pictured in the box will probably be left at home and/or in the car.

Been collecting tools for a long time. This is my home box that I acquired recently replacing my Masters series. My previous boxes were a 54” Masters XL KMP1022 with stainless power top and a matching 40” slide top cart and before that I had a 36” KRL756 and KRL731 top box.

Here’s a cart I’ve had for a few months now. I had problems with the first one I’ve got (top wouldn’t lock) but Snapon replaced it and this one has been great for me. I got it on student discount so it was about $1600. If I had to pay full price, I don’t think I would gotten it.
Layout is 80% there I think. Here’s some changes I’d like to make in the short-medium term:
-pare down the sockets. I work on ford vocational vehicles now so 90% of what I see is 7,8,10,13,15. I don’t really need full sets so I might switch to socket rails instead and only keep the sockets I use most.
-organize my extensions so they’re not rolling around and so I can keep better track of them. I was thinking about cutting/routing slots in pieces of 3/4” plywood for this
-as much as it pains me, leave my SAE wrenches in my tool box. I used them all day long when I was working heavy trucks but now I use them less than once a month, if that.
-I’d like to organize my screwdrivers better, but toolgrip is so damn expensive. Other organizers are too bulky. I hardly use screwdrivers so i might just leave some of them in my box
-the “speedrawer” is not quite finished, I’m still messing around with it
-air tools drawer is cramped but otherwise ok to me.
-my prybar/punch drawer is a mess, I was thinking about using magnetic bars to hold everything down and in place
-I’d like to fill the bottom drawer up a bit more just so the cart isn’t as top heavy. It feels super stable but why take a chance. Don’t really know with what, maybe I’ll put my hammers down there.
Shouts out to @Steve_P for the vintage Harbor Freight air tools, I use them every day and have no plans of upgrading. Also to my 2025 Secret Santa for the Tekton pry bars. I love these things and use them all the time. Highly recommended to anyone else.

Brother I can't begin to tell how utterly disappointed I am with you. How fn dare you post pictures with all your dirty / grimy fingers prints all over everything!

Late yesterday afternoon one of my guys shows up at the shop to let me know he lost an axle bearing on his mid 90's truck. So I told him go get the parts and pull it on it. He got started with his own truck tools before I walked out there and laid him out with all the right ****. And as soon as it got to the point of really making a mess had to step in for pulling the axles, beating the living **** out of the seals to get them to release, pulling and installing the bearings and bolting everything back together.
And the best part, it was only 108 in the shop the entire time. Well at least it was when I left at 8:30.
Of course like anything involving gear lube and a couple decades of no real cleaning, all my tools were coated. My guy starts apologizing on and on about making such a mess of everything.
To which I told him, I buy tools to use not polish - don't worry about it.

I miss having dirty tools. It used to remind me that I worked hard to earn my living.
