On the wrong side of the tracks.
The "real" Hanson trays are Black (SAE) and Gray (Metric). I have found knock-offs in red (SAE) and Blue (Metric).

I use a combination of the two for my chrome sockets (impacts are easy enough to identify)to differentiate the 12-point from the 6-point, as they are stored with the drive-end-up on these trays .

Red = 6 point SAE
Black = 12 point SAE
Blue = 6 point Metric
Gray = 12 point Metric

I'm not so sure I agree about the theory of knock off and real Hansen trays as I think the red and blue were just older versions of the tray.

i think he might be saying that he bought tray similar to hansens that he found. not that they are knockoffs labeled as hansens. :headscrat

KW29, what kind of digital torque wrench is that you have?

Hi,

I have 2 digital ones, 3/8 and 1/2.

They are Snap On Tech Angle, brilliant bits of gear do all the measurements ft/lbs etc, plus degrees ( This is the angle bit ), so when need to do 180deg you programme it in and when pressure is applied to the head it will add it up for you. so if you "rachet off" it wont count. excellent for torque to yield stuff. a massive time saver as well, also excellent for hard to access places, ( crank pulleys etc )

Hope this makes sense ( im on the beers )

Cheers

My top Chest old Snap On box that was my grandfathers repainted.

Bottom drawer holds my sockets, Mastercraft Maximum divided between Metric & SAE, I can pull out either organizer that each socket clicks into. One of my favorite toys in there is my looong herbrand canada swivel extension. They made it super easy getting an exhaust nut back on the lycoming cylinder.

Middle Drawer holds my wrenches also mastercraft maximum (I love the tire, what can I say?) I also have my stubbies that should go in there and some other random ones.

Top Drawer, screwdrivers, ratchets, other stuff. I have a ton more screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches etc, I just have to organize the middle box and cabinet, etc

Top area holds my torque wrench, hammers, punches & chisels, micrometer, etc.

Does anyone know where I can get a spare drawer for my middle box?

My toolbox is pale in comparison to most of the ones here, but being a college student and not needed a lot of tools thus far in life, I think I'm doing okay.

Looks like you are doing just fine there uncle moak! If there is one Cman tool that I like above most all others its the older style pro pliers. Especially the ones like your needle nose and side cutters here with the extra bumps in the handles. They are very high quality and very comfortable in the hands!

What i would like to do is sell the Craftsman and the HF box and get another triple bay to consolidate and give me a little more room but need to put a little more thought into what size three bay to get so i still have room to expand all boxes are full so gotta do something:confused:

pics of all my tool boxes... the middle one is currently for sale by the way (shameless plug). No I am not rich.. I really had to work my *** off to afford these boxes. The craftsmen one was one of my first tool boxes. It holds a lot of misc stuff (nuts, bolts, washers) etc etc. Believe it or not I don't like to think of myself as tool snob.. I love snap on and all but only to a certain point.

Here's a quick pic...
