Deafautotech- i hate to admit it.... but buying that KRL was "overkill" for me. The Classic 78 was overfilled so I figured I might as well go for broke and step up to a KRL. I'd say the KRL is about 60% full. I hope to NEVER outgrow it! lol The top piece is pretty full and all the drawers move nicely. I bought that top piece brand spankin new at a swap meet (still had the plastic on it and in the box). The bottom piece I bought from Skyline (Steve) it was used but Steve did a great job of reconditioning it. You can see wear and tear on it but for the price he gave me I can't complain. That piece doesn't have a lot of stuff in it due to the fact that in order to get my firebird in the garage I only have a couple inches between the box and the car. I took a lot of measurements to make sure 100% that I could fit everything in the garage. As far as moving it with it loaded up "as is" I haven't even tried....

gnx547- I'm located in Northern NJ. Wanna take a look at the classic 78? :)

My Uncle's box is similar to that. Probably owned it since new, no bottom drawer kit though, I should take a pic and post it here one of these days.

I'm a hop head, so I guess I'll need to try these out. The best IPA I've ever had the pleasure of knowing is Bells' Hopslam. Bells' has some of the finest craft beer around!

Stay thirsty my friend

Here's mine. The Craftsman boxes are full so I bought the Macs used and will restore them when the weather is cooler (I'll probably paint them Ford blue). I just picked up the little Snap-on carry box and that will get restored pretty soon and will be painted red. My son has a Black three section Craftsman that is a little bigger than my Craftsmans that my dad bought him. We are working on filling them up. He's only 16 and they are about 1/3 full. The carry Craftsman next to my big boxes will be a bench box when I build my other workbench in the third garage.

Steve

Steve, I searched but could not fine where you have restored the Macs. Did you ever get to around to them. Reason I ask is I am restoring a similar set and painting them Buick Engine Green. Man what a job. More than 40 hours on just the BOTTOM. Will share on here when I get time.

I swear that's how they do it. Same thing happened to me, i joked with him about dream box being a krl1024.

Well low and behold 3 months later what does he come up with, oh snap on credit is offering an instant 2k off purchases over 10k, i'll give you 3k for your classic 78(got it for 2200 student box and it was kinda beat up) and to seal the deal he took another 1300 off right out of his profit. So there it went from being a 16k toolbox to being a 10k toolbox i just couldn't pass up the offer.

That's what I said lol. I was thinking about getting a Snap On tag for the cart lol

Go for it! I started out with a pair of BluePoint carts. I got one off of e-bay and one off of CL. I kept metrics in one and SAE in the other and distributed everything else between the two. I put SO emblems on the outside and a nice decal on the inside...

8th Narrow (deep) Draw - Circular saw, face shield and other protective equipment, cleaning supplies and my small pen / junk holder.

Anybody know where you can buy shallow trays that sit on the drawer in this photo (the thing with the cougar emblem in it)?
