Your vette is sick Chris_PT

Thanks man:thumbup:

cris pt how did you manage to build that vette im married and i every week when the snap on man comes round the wife becomes like a angry pitbull. theres no way that id get away with either spending the time or the money in the garage to build a car like that but i have to say it looks seriously cool

Well, for one, I'm not married. But my girlfriend doesn't mind at all and understands that stuff like this is my true hobby. She's amazing!
The car has taken several paths and about 5 years to become what it is, so it wasn't like a lump sum at one time!

Nice vette Chris. I recognize the interior from the CF.

I'm everywhere haha:beer:

maybe a crazy question ... why are all the toolboxes full of so many wrenches/sockets. do you use them all?

I started picking up the V series RHFT's a few years ago when the quality of the newer ones started to go downhill.

They're the finest ratchets Craftsman ever made imho. Got two sets put aside for my sons.

Yeah, they are very nice. The Premium ratchets are growing on me quick, but the RHFT is still my favorite and the one I reach for most.

Yep, pretty much.... I'd like to think there's an ideal wrench/socket for any and every particular situation and you can't use it if you don't have it

There are some wrenches for a specific purpose, where nothing else will work. Like the others said, you may try 3 different wrenches on a bolt/nut before you get something that will fit the bill. Working on tractors you may break something loose with a wrench, then use a socket and 36" extention to run it out.

I don't use every tool in my boxes ALL the time, but they all get used at some point in time or another.

mind you, my box and cart aren't as full as some of the boxes on here!!!

i figured out a few years ago, i can do my job 95% of the time with 5% of my tools, the other 5% of work takes the other 95% of tools. :wtf:

i have days that i literally have 2 wrenches, and 2 sockets, a DVM, and a pair of wire strippers/cutters in my hands, and repair several machines.
the next day i have what seems like every wrench, socket, ratchet hammer, prybar, impact, and jack out of my truck, and all i have is a bunch of tools scattered around at the end of the day and not much to show for it...:lol_hitti

^^ That's incredibly true! Last week I had to cut out a panel in my car that was giving me trouble. I was in the zone getting it done, when I snapped back into reality the panel was out but EVERYTHING was on the floor. I think there were 10 drawers still open. Two grinders, 7 pairs of tinsnips, 5 hammers, every prybar I own, 2 scrapers, screwdrivers, chisels, chisel holders, punches, picks, scribes, tape measures, drills, drill bits, hole saws, flashlights... blood, mangled metal, tools, and extension cords everywhere. It looked like an explosion!

But the panel is out :) Me and my tools: 1. VW spot welds: 0.

at work i pick up everything, and put it back in my truck, when i'm finished for the day, at least at home i can leave it lay until i'm finished with what i'm doing.

More......this little Craftsman is what I've been working out of at home since the 90's. It was time to get something else like I said above that I could grow into.

56" top with their 75" bottom both by 24". With eventually the side cabinets.

I like the sheetmetal on top. Did you just buy from somewhere, cut it, and lay on top of the rubber?

Good looking box. Devil Dog Tools is where I got my ClarkeHD box several years ago. They were great to deal with...
