I am a deputy sheriff in Jefferson county arkansas. I find it important to keep a good set of tools and a floor jack in my car.

Same here. We've got an interstate and several major highways running through our county. I've changed many tires for people over the years. I bought a small floor jack, a four-way and a pair of chocks a long time ago to make the job quicker and easier...

Here's my toolbox. Got it for Christmas back in 1991. It's just an old crappy Popular Mechanics brand that was bought at the evil Wal-Mart. I think it was made in Taiwan, not really sure though. Simple sliding drawers, no ball bearings. But hey, it holds my crappy tools to work on my crappy cars :)

So, its a 20 year old box, that did not cost a whole lot. I say, its a good box! You can spend alot more on a new one, but it will do the same thing that urs does! Last semester i took an 30 year old waterloo to school. People laughed at it im sure, but it held my tools just fine. It just didint like to roll around the shop, and i had quite a bit of stuff in it so the bottom was starting to bend in..so its retired to my garage where it dont have to roll around. Be proud of your box, nothing wrong with it.

Do you have the parts number for the add on drawers for the cart. Also is that side cabinet the same depth as the cart? I have a black on that I have been kicking the idea around to do exactly what you did. But want to add a locker to the left side also.

Here is a link to the add on drawers
http://www.mactools.com/product/tabid/120/p-330448-mb197ucad-bk.aspx

Here is the side cabinet
http://www.mactools.com/product/tabid/120/p-329023-7-drawer-side-cabinet-galaxy-black.aspx

I have a side cabinet for the left side ordered, the side cabinets are not the exact depth, the are like 18 inches deep, they are not a bolt on, I made my own brackets and centered them on the side.

My first box that my parents got for me when I was about 16. Currently it holds overflow from estate sales, auctions, etc.:

Bottom box I picked up at an auction at work a few years ago. It holds pullers, files, tubing tools. The top box is a project for my buddy Steve, I may start a thread about it sometime.

My big Kahuna, and my big fat finger... oh well:

Big old Kenedy/Bott that I picked up at an auction from work. Its about 30" deep, roller slides. Weighs as much as a VW beetle. I think I gave $40 :) :

Saw this old girl at an auction this winter, packed up with odds and ends. I just had to have it. It will house any and all Snap On oldies/overflow. Anyone know an age or model? It's in fantastic shape.:

And my favorite of favorites - my OLD IHC box. Looks like it was probably mounted to a frame of a tractor at one point. Metal top and sides, wood bottom. :

Here are mine....no pictures of the inside yet.

36" upper and lower masterforce and a 41" lower masterforce, from menards. I plan to put a bench over the lower box and then a series of cabinets off to the right of that box too, painted to match the boxes.
I am really happy with these masterforce boxes...and lifetime warranty, they say.

Did they stop selling the 41" Masterforce?

Took new pics in the garage today for insurance purposes etc... This is a Stainless Torin box that Pepboys sold briefly. They listed at $400, but then had a $50 mail in rebate & a $100 store rebate so for $250 I grabbed it...

Next up is an older Craftsman used for welding stuff mostly.... altho the grinding wheels are for a tool grinder used for lathe tooling. Beater bag on the top weighs at least 180lb...Box looks a bit empty in places because a lot of the stuff is on the welding table.

If you were wondering about the lack of visegrips in the toolboxes....I hang em up by the clamps etc..
