Making due with what little space I have right now. Drawers are jam packed. I'm also taking up residence in a coworker's tool box drawer. I'll be upgrading to a Matco 4 series soon though

How do you like it? Im thinking about getting one since its pretty cheap with my student discount

The Matco 4 series is a very nice starter box, for a pro tech. I started out with a 3 bay model and paid a little of $2,000 for it brand new with my student discount years ago. But, I would only recommend it as a starter box. I was short on space as soon as I got it, and its only so long until the drawer configuration will drive you insane. So I haggled with my SO dealer and got a $4,000 trade in for it on a brand new KRL1022, and I haven't looked back. The Matco box was a good starter investment in my book.

- Below is the Mac i traded in. Does it look like it's worth $6400 ? Today it was.

People act like SO dealers are out to steal your first born or something. Timing is everything, and you sir, timed it right.

this is true fordbroncodave, but it was the best deal i've seen in a long time. Plus, at least its new. Better than the 11,000 it started at.

Nothing wrong with buying new.

I got the idea for the wrench holders from the forum. It is some house wiring, and it works very well. I wanted to find some type of holder that could hold the wrenches very close together so I could fit them all in one drawer.

my deep impact sockets were not in the drawer when I took the picture... they are still in my truck toolbox. I need to get a rail and throw em in there.

I actually have an empty drawer now... time to by more stuff!

Some amazing boxes on here, not as large as some of the set ups here but it works for my needs. Had the bottom and mid boxes for about 12 years, picked up the top box 2 weeks ago. Mostly mastercraft with some snap on, craftsman, and NAPA. Few pics of contents too.

so spend the money you'd spend on socket rails on sockets to fill the holes instead ;)

Finally got my 1/2" drive toolbox mostly complete. Started with the carry toolbox from the pawn shop & filled it from purchases on ebay and the classifieds here. Nice full set of deeps and shorts with some other necessary pieces. Fits my med drawer nicely.

Tool chest and contents, buy a real nice house in the Hamptons.

Jealous, but makes me want to puke at the same time.

Wow sticks that is a nice box. We need more pictures :)

As promised...Sorry about the poor quality, evidently I never got around to a re-shoot.

Pics are main chest top to bottom, then the side chest.

Makes me sick to think that I have almost doubled the quantity of tools since these pics were taken.

Not sure if they will all fit. Those jumbo wrenches, 1" drive sockets, 10 more air tools, plus more diagnostic stuff....That 72" Montezuma top, bottom and side chest is looking good. Wish it was around when I was shopping for this. May have to get a hold of Rosseau and get another side cabinet...then build a new base...another set of casters...Ug.

Maybe get rid of some of the junk drawer contents. ***** to be a pack rat.

here is my overloaded box. I think it is time to get rid of the junk tools and sell off the random tools I have 3-4 duplicates of.

Do you have any information on the Tap index in the 13th Picutre?

Jason - it's a Volkel metric tap index, one of those times when you order a random-ish set from McMaster-Carr and are pleasantly surprised with a high quality German-made set :)

This particular machine is going to Europe, so all metric. Typically we do SAE.
