Jason - it's a Volkel metric tap index, one of those times when you order a random-ish set from McMaster-Carr and are pleasantly surprised with a high quality German-made set :)

This particular machine is going to Europe, so all metric. Typically we do SAE.

Thanks for the information, Doesnt look like McMaster sells the Index on it own though:(

It all started with the centerpiece: A limited-edition Dale Earnhardt box by Snap-on. In recent years, David Frick has added something to it every year, expanding the entire setup to measure 18’ x 7’6”.

The most recent additions include “the work stations and the lockers on the top,” as well as the side lockers, where Frick keeps his cordless and A/C tools. By tweaking the original, Frick also took the design up a notch.

“The box came in all black with stainless steel drawer liners. I special ordered all the red drawer pulls and then the white trim on the corners.”

After some of the setup options were discontinued, Frick had the top lockers “painted to match” at a bodyshop.

Frick knows his box down to the numbers.

“They made 4,200 of them, and mine’s number 3,461,” he said.

“I’ve been down to Charlotte to Richard Childress Racing, and he has the first one made, and Dale Earnhardt Incorporated has the third one.

“Actually, this is the third Dale Earnhardt box I’ve had,” said Frick. “I had one, and then I traded up for a little bigger one. And then this one came along and I had to have it.

“This is definitely the last of the line … but you never know.”

PROFILE:

Frick has owned the two-bay repair facility in Caro, Mich., since 1998. His shop handles all general automotive repairs and specializes in automatic transmission repair.

As the only shop in town to do that type of work, Frick often has other places send their transmission repairs to him.

“It keeps me busy,” Frick said. “Right now we have seven transmissions we’re working on—it stays like this all the time.”

A race enthusiast, Frick has been to tracks all over the country.

What’s the best part of the repair business for this shop owner?

“I love being able to work for myself,” said Frick. “Having a small shop where I can do quality work at a fair price.”

Wow! Just WOW!
You, my friend, without a doubt -- are the winner in this thread. Unless I am sadly mistaken, I don't believe anybody can top what you have just done!
That is some great lookin' tool chests/boxes/carts/roller cabs.
I will never ever be secure enough now to show mine, however. Whew!
Cheers,
JimDon

Heres my box. It is a 76" Snap On Epiq with the powerbank. It has been a really nice box for me. I bought the purple top second hand so thats why the color is different. Maybe one day I will wrap it in white vinyl. Doesn't really bother me too much.

just browsing through the link that wornoutoldman posted I found this....

Owner:
Dwayne Dean, shop foreman at MPG Carriers trucking company in Columbus, Neb.

Box:
Dwayne works on big rigs, and especially likes doing overhauls and transmission work, so he needs a toolbox to match. And he found it with Snap-on, in the form of a bottom, top, two end cabinets, two lockers, a mid-riser and a high-riser. All told, it measures out at about 19’8” by 3’ by 6’. “As many tools as I have, I need all the room I can get,” Dwayne said.

Profile:
Dwayne has been working on trucks since 1979, and his tool collection has been building since then, though he started buying a lot more equipment in 1992 after a stint in the military and his graduation from SCC-Milford votech. Dwayne said his toolbox is “plum full, maybe two drawers are empty in one side cabinet.” He estimates he has about $130,000 invested in the entire setup. His favorite tools are simply his wrenches, but he has been spending more lately on specialty tools and equipment for Detroit and Cummins diesel engines.

I think THIS one is the biggest one in this thread..

Here's mine. Top is a Kobalt ball bearing from about 10 years ago. The middle and bottom are Craftsman Grip Latch Ball Bearing.
