Here is my toolbox in all it's glory. It is one of the original Costco 41" stainless steel Hammerhead branded boxes. I looked at a Snap-On KRA the other day, but I actually like my Costco Hammerhead more, which surprised me! It seemed as strong or even stronger than the budget Snap-On box. I also like the fact that is does not have those damn safety catches on the drawers!! I missed out on one of the 52 inch wide Costco boxes and still regret not getting that. When I hit the Lotto, I am getting a KRL setup, but until then, this will do for a homeowner box. Fortunately, lots of the tools are Snap-On, and having quality tools of any brand that feel right/work right when you use them is really what matters.

Nice find GeorgeK!! new paint is cheap and I'm sure you can find a lock (if you need to lock it) but I'd buy that for $100 any day of the week!

Someday I'll have an assistent....someday.

Got my new box today, ordered a couple months back. Black Snap On 84" Epiq triple bay with powertop. Moved all my stuff out of my Macsimizer after work, and this thing rules! Tons of room, and plenty of room to grow.

Thanks to Mr. Shaun and the other members here who answered my questions about the Epiq series.

twelve grand ?

Trade (1350 Macsimizer I bought dirt cheap, new) and about $5k.

Or, $100 more than my dealer quoted me on a new 1023 (with the same trade) 2 yrs ago. This thing is way bigger, and includes the stainless powertop.

Retail is brutal on those Epiq's though. I feel for anyone who has to pay near that.

here is my overloaded box. I think it is time to get rid of the junk tools and sell off the random tools I have 3-4 duplicates of.

After straightenning up my box I had quite a few duplicates that I didn't have a home for (I've only got three totally separate tool boxes) so I grabbed an old tool box that I was going to sell and started filling it. My son just turned 16 and will soon be wanting some tools of his own. I'll tell him that he can take what he wants out of the "old" box. It's also a good place to point friends that want to "borrow" tools.

It's slowly becoming better organized. I brought the box home last Tuesday and took these pictures on Wednesday so things are pretty much as they were when I pulled them out of my old box.

I guess I can come out of the closet as a Plomb collector now. It's not really been something I've mentioned too much. Here's my 9990 top box and an old shot of the contents.

The photo of the box is about 6 months old

<a href="http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s283/steven67fr/?action=view&current=P6010715.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s283/steven67fr/P6010715.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The photo of the contents is about a year old I will have to update soon, as they have about doubled in number and variety. All the tools get used on an at least weekly basis for the upkeep of my vehicles and other belongings.

well, while I'm at it, here's my chest... Photo's about a year old, as this chest is overflowing now as well. Still looking for the right Tool Mobile.
