.....:bubbrubb:

The Cman rally box is in my trunk and carries stuff I don't use every day but is nice to have available at either home or work.

I guess I never posted any picks of my toolboxes other than in the Menards toolbox thread. This is my work toolbox. I've never picked up a Menards topbox for it but am using my Crapsman. Most of everything is machinist tools so no Snap=On, Mac or other major brands. Lots of self made machinist precision tools. The first few pics are the vises that I have made for use on a surface grinder and holding precision parts

Next drawers. I think I missed getting some pics of a few drawers also. The round cylinder is a "cylindrical square". The "K" looking block is a magnetic block that has a 30/60 side and a 45 degree side to is for use on suurface grinders with a magnetic chuck.

Should be next to the last set of pics. Homemade Sine Plate, and angle plate. The angle plate was made almost 30 years ago and is dead on square and has remained that way all throughout the years. It's had a lot of use using it for grinding other tools.

Last set of pics. I promise. Most of these pics don't live up to what others boxes are, but the tools have served me well over the last 30 years. I have given away more that what I show here, along with some toolboxes to help others get started in the business. A few different size "V" blocks for different sizes of material. I imagine over the years I have give away close to 15 pair of just something like 1-2-3 blocks to different ones.

If I ever get a chance to clean out my home boxes. (Menards tops, bottoms, and side boxes) I'll post up some pics of those. Again nothing as nice as most on here but they get the work done. I still have some other tools to get and another Menards top box, then work on maybe getting my Craftsman top and bottom box back from my wife and work on filling up my Kennedy top boxes. I also have a waterloo 7 drawer that I was going to sell in a garage sale (exact same thing as a Kennedy machinist box) but I think I may put a custom paint job on it. I still have some Prowler Orange that I used to paint my '93 Chevy truck so I may try my hand at custom painting a toolbox :dunno:

Anyways when I get my home boxes straightened out I'll post them

TPolley, snag some wrench organizers (or make the spring ones) and some socket trays (HF has some for dirt cheap).

I think with those, you'll like those sockets where they are, and your wrenches won't go anywhere!

i gotta share this one. it isn't mine. it belongs to a friend. he built it 30+ years ago when he worked in the movie industry. he had 8 of them at one point. they held everything from tools to movie props. they've been all over the world.

Here's an update to mine. I added a ball bearing intermediate to the older set-up. In total, I've got less than $500 into tool storage. I'd love to find another vintage set-up for room to grow.

One of these days I'll snap pics of the drawers so everyone can see how OCD I am, haha. :D

I've been trying to get pics of it for awhile but its been in the shop for a month. Well needless to say its back in the shop. Had another truck come into my lane and kiss mirrors and take off. I know it's not a typical tool box.

Yes its an 6.4, been fighting coolant leaks since Nov. They have replaced hoses, radiator, water pump, front cover, both egr coolers, and it still smells like coolant when you walk by. Had the rear end rebuilt last week.

pretty excited my replacement box showed up today for my 93 craftsman. Hopefully I can get everything in the new one with some space left over :)

I have the same exact Craftsman box, top and bottom, that I swapped out for a Menards 41" base and a 41" Craftsman top box. I let my wife USE my Craftsman like shown. Actually for the work that I do (Tool & Die) and the smaller tools that I use, I actually had more room in the Craftsman than I do in the Menards/Craftsman setup wich is a lot larger. I think one reason being is "useable" space vs. deeper drawers on some srawers which is basically wasted space for some things. Not saying that you won't love that new box over the older box, just saying that for the size, the Craftsman setup can hold a heck of a lot.

My new to me box, (the one on the left):
P6250895.jpg

It was $200 buck cheaper than the HF box everyone has. I figured for now, this will work. I want to paint my old box, but does anyone know how to get the drawers out? Do you have to punch the metal tab back? Please tell me there is an easier way??!!

Jus got mine but black with hutch last week. The wait while it was on backorder killed me. But was well worth it! This thing is a monster! I can't say enough about strictly and montezuma. I recently broke my arm and had 2 plates and 13 screws put in. But as soon as I can get to work and get everything in it and finished, I'll get some pics and do a review. Great boxes people!! No one could see a difference between a snap on or matco. :bounce:

Pretty good stuff here. I haven't been around since I hung up my tools about 6 months ago and became a service manager, then i realized how much i missed spinning wrenches. So now I'm back in the shop as foreman and couldn't be happier.

My box is already in this thread way back, but ill take some new pics of mine and my co workers boxes tomorrow at work. 3 snap ons including mine, a blue point, mac and 2 craftsman.

Hey jckdann, my 6.4 was doing the same thing until they replaced the radiator. If you can trade that one in and get a 6.7, I have a couple of them and they have been perfect so far. knock on wood.

Picked up a Mac MB5100 (I think, escaping my mind at the moment) that's getting put to use. I spin wrenches day to day as a diesel mechanic and we also do service calls 24/7. I'm currently saving up for a KRL1023, so the new mac serves as a road box/overflow because I have no more room box!!!!

Snapped some phone pics today after tearing down a 60 series Detroit for an In-Frame.

Enjoy

I was holding out for a 1023 as well, until my mac guy made me an offer I couldn't refuse..

The mb1900 is one hell of a box.... and you can probably get it alot cheaper than a 1023
