No never had a modis use to have solus/vantage pro set up traded the solus for the verdict
still kept my v-pro. I keep my verdict on my hutch wall when in use or daily but I put back in it's drawer at night or not in use. (don't want it walking away) And so far so good with it no problems.I don't use it for internet so may be I will not have alot of issues. I'm happy with it.

Awesome Matco box and contents!

I had one of those big a$$ Matco tool carts all spec'ed out in that color combo. Matco guy never got back to me, so I ended up with the largest SO "cart"...

Boxes have changed a number of times over the years, but i keep cramming them full of tools.

Started out with this combo when i was 16 right off the truck:

Bought this combo later for $ 1400 on craigslist.

Traded the above orange box + $ 2500 for this KRL1003

Ended up selling the KRL1003 for $ 5500 somewhere down the line, and was back to my first KRA Combo i bought new off the truck for a number of years. Finally sold that combo this year, and upgraded to some lista boxes. I can say with out a doubt, that all i will ever buy anymore is Lista.

The one on the left has all the mechanics tools in it, where as the one on the right has construction tools/plumbing fittings/misc other stuff.

As you can see, its kinda full, so i'll be purchasing another Lista box here shortly to make room for more tools

Scored the '54 wilton on top for $ 100.

lista ? because they are cheap , or because they are just so awesome ? they don't even have wheels :)

they're awesome, lack of wheels considered, much more heavy duty than the snappy boxes i've had n the past.

wheels can be solved with a few casters and a steel frame, however i don't miss having wheels.

the lista drawer slides make krl slides look like toys.

Rearranged my sockets from one drawer to two after getting the HF socket trays. Still have a bunch more random sockets that I need to find a home for, so this may change.

^^^^^^ I picked them up many years ago off SO. I have been looking for them on the trucks lately but haven't found them. So I just keep reusing them Just change the sticky tape on the bottom of them.

Little back story on the setup. A couple years ago I spent about a week going through the garage cleaning things up. It had gotten to the point where things were just shoved in there and it was a mess. I threw out all the junk/garbage, replaced the cracking plywood top to the workbench with some 2x10's and got all my dad's tools reorganized from being in random plastic buckets to the chests above. The one on the left is all my dad's cement/masonry & plumbing tools. The center one is actually almost all my stuff, several of the ratchets are my dad's though. The right one is nearly all my dad's tools, there are a few things in there that are mine. Unfortunately my dad passed away last year. He did get to see the newly cleaned up garage and his tools organized and properly stored though. I think that meant a lot to him. With all that said, there is no way I'd ever part with any of those tools. I do need to reorganize things though, probably should stack the intermediate boxes and rework the extensions/lights and whatnot. :)

I stumbled onto this thread last night, so I took a pic @ the shop today and emailed it to myself so I could share it here....my current set @ work consists of a KRA4813D roll cab, KRA4810 chest, and the bottom 1/2 of my stainless Kobalt set is used for an "electrical cart"....to take my electrical tools from bay to bay troubleshooting other tech's downfalls, and to do work for their current projects.

Here's a pic I took of a decent weld I made installing a pintle plate on an International cab & chassis, with my old Mac and Craftsman setup in the background.....

Whats the welder in the background? Looks like an XMT with a wire feeder?

Looks good. But if I packed my toolbox like that, I'd need to go from on one toolbox to four.

Yeah well the box is allot bigger than it looks in the pics .. I am a Pro HD mechanic and can get by with what i have .. Like ONE set of screwdrivers is enough for me ..

But i did future proof it some what .. I mean them Toolbeds will fit into bigger SO boxes like a KRL1022 or a 7022 and bigger as the draws are common. If I wanted to transfer a bed into an extended draw I would just subtract the bed width from the draw width and order more foam.

Also you will notice the second draw has two seperate beds that will fit into the narrows of the above boxes or the side cab KRL1011.

Also this is not my entire collection no sir .. Just what I use regular ..

Thanks for the comments .. I will put a thread together later.

Rossco it looks great but is a HUGE waste of space in my opinion

Yeah it takes allot of space up .. but theres only so much that you need ..

Take alook at this pic .. Full set of combos from 3/8 - 1 1/8, Full 4 way 3/8 - 1 1/8, big one at the top, short 9/16 and a 3/4 - 11/16 high stregth for half clamps ..

SSL25170.jpg

I have the same in another draw, metric combo, short combo, flexi gearwrenchs and a few big bahcos .. then theres one with both metric / AF ring wrenchs, Short and standard .. Also an AF stubby set there ..

Good eye, it's a 304, but I like the 350 in the next bay over better. ( You can see my Speedglas over on the left on the Kobalt "cart" )

The 350 seems to be smoother than my 304 imho. The 304 I run is the 1 and only Mig I've ever truly spent time welding with as I'm a stick-welder @ heart, but it does a pretty nice job. Running .045 with tri-gas, I'm right @ home anywhere between 17 and 27 volts. More than 27V, and my lack of mig experience shows. Any less than 17V, and the .045 is just too much wire, and we don't keep any .035 on-hand as it's not very practical for the welding/fabrication we do in house.
