This past February I came to terms with the fact that the 41" Stainless Steel Craftsmen wasn't big enough. So instead of buy a new box every year as the trend has been going I decided to buy a bigger box then I needed and keep it for a long time. I sold my yellow Blue Point tool cart and put my black one from my garage at work. And I ended up with a brand new Matco 5225RX roll cab w 6" spring casters, a 5225TCX top chest, and a 5025SCX side chest all in Sub Lime green w/ black trim. Now I still have a few unused drawers but I wont need to buy a box for quite some time.

Nice Matco. LOVE the green!

Heres my box at home. I don't have nearly the amount of tools most of you have, I have always lived in apartments, or with roommates. I would go to the parents house if I needed tools. So now that I have my own house and garage, I can now start buying my own tools.

Screwdriver drawer is a bit messy as I didn't have the box locked and my 2YO rearranged them for me.

I like those.

Those Allen Wrench & Wrench racks look like the ones I got at HF. Should be one large molded plastic piece.

they sell that entire black piece as a wrench holder at harbor freight, real nice, cleans up a dirty drawer fast.

$10

http://www.harborfreight.com/76-piece-wrench-organizer-46884.html

also the cornwell guy sells them also but for $30

I got mine from the cornwell guy for $15. They are also made in the USA.

All right! there is updated the pictures... i did not even start to play with it because i am at Mason, Ohio right now for tomorrow a ford training on electrical diag...

the place where the lista was located before i took it to my garage, it brought me the memorial of my past career! the place i was wait for seller to show up at his job, i had remember the shop when i was started to work part time at Indy shop in greenwood that my former boss tried to figure out what is problem with Mercede Benz SL450 engine as run rough. when my former boss could not find out so he had me to drove it over there to drop off.. the shop i did saw it was full of mercede benz vehicles and one older Army truck (mercede benz) inside. now i did saw the place again, the army truck are still there but they do a lot of mercede benz works (not brand new) but the guys around the shop are act like they are tough guy and dont care about anything... it made me look like they are die-hard of mercede benz as there is too many engines lay around shop...

anyway i am plan to do small project on this lista box as need buy a keys as it had lost and i has the label of key code on drawer.. it has some little rust on surface... not big deal..

Page 18??? :headscrat Wow, people really need to start showing of more of there tools.

Well any way snappy man showed up today with a present riding along strapped to the lift gate on the back. Here's some teaser shots, got the blue one empty so far, but a lot still ON it as you can see. Definitely not all organized but snappy man seems in a hurry to pick up my trade (think he's got it sold already) so I'm trying to get it empty as soon as i can.

On a side not, my new box only came with one writing surface (that is only half depth) and nothing else, every other KRL I've seen has a full depth writing surface and one or two trays that hang on the drawers, anyone else notice this?

Anyway, here's the teasers, still waiting on stainless top and have a lot of organizing to do, will post more when I'm settled.

Oh yea, already moved some drawers around, I love how you can rearrange SnapOn drawers!

I only got 1 writing surface with my krl1023 when I got it, it was as long and as wide as the narrow drawers. I also got the draw liner kit and the leather manual and the hat.

Other then that I think you can buy some extras for it.

JR Herald- yes, its on Craigslist. I'm moving and will have a heckuva time transporting it. Also I don't work on cars for a living anymore and don't need a box this big.

Well I hope tool bag is acceptable in this thread - I don't have a tool box! You guys are all tool freaks like me - so I hope you'll understand.

Let me explain, I have tried every type of tool bag, tool box, tool belt and I find all have limitations, mainly around the fact that you have to 'dump and dig' to find what you are looking for, lesser used tools are hidden under more frequently used stuff.

When I saw the Veto Pro Pac line - I knew someone else had also had this thought, and invented the very toolbag I have always wanted. I ordered the XL model back in 2005, and it has been brilliant. You can always see the tools, and where they are, and at the end of a job, you can see which tools are missing. I work in amateur theatre, so I am always going into different locations, and the ability to instantly see what tools are 'out' is brilliant.

I loved the bag so much that I have a 'LC' model here in Hong Kong as by 'away' toolkit. Check them out - they may just solve an issue for you.

The pictures here are for the smaller LC kit.

These are not a subsitute for a tool cabinet, but for a travelling workman, I reckon they are excellent.

Here is a picture of my hand tool storage. Not a professional. Just a homeowner with some rentals to work on. But I love my tools!
