Everyone needs a gun in their tool box! I used to work with a guy who kept a loaded Mac 10 in his tool box. Scared the **** out of me when I asked to borrow something that was in the same drawer!

I agree! I have a concealed carry handgun license, so I carry to and from work as well. You would think someone must be crazy to try to burglarize an auto shop full of men (and women) with many large blunt and sharp tools at their disposal, but it happens. :shoot5:

I got my handbox back from the guy who pinstriped it for me...again. I wanted him to add a bit of brighter color to it - he said he'd gotten better and would just start over. He's the artist....told him to do what he wanted...

The work in progress, might get taken apart, started it before I got my garage.

The big one. Its 19in X 65in. The long drawers are 44in long. All on roller slides. Built it when I had way more time than money. Probably would not do it again. It was a ton of work. Being over 10 years old now it has worked out pretty good.

Y2K Kleins? Explain!

Those were sold in 1999 by Klein for the "Y2K" scare. I assume that if you had a Y2K problem you could use those to just cut the $&*! out of your affected system!:bounce:

I also have a set of Klein 125th anniversary ALL CHROME Lineman's sitting in the blue bag next to the Y2Ks. Dad bought those back in 1982.

DAMN!! I have two Vidmars, but you Sir are making me look bad.

Either you hit the powerball or a local bank was held up. Either way, that is one bad *** set-up man.

They look rather thin compared to a standard. Did you have them custom made?

Picked up this vintage Craftsman tool chest in pretty good shape today. This is after a very light cleaning and a little straightening. Pretty neat design with full front cover that folds away up above the drawers. I'm guessing this was made around 1950 -- anybody have a better idea when it was made?

Only repairs needed are to a couple of drawer slides. Anybody know if it's possible to get new ones? I'm inclined to just try to straighten the mangled ones and make them work, if possible.

Not sure whether I'm just going to clean and use it as-is, or whether I will repaint it. Would that be sacrilege, or is there enough rust on this to justify it?
