It still always comes back to if you are known and consistently throwing more money at them you will likely get premium warranty service; if not you can blow it out your keester if that is what they want to tell you. Paid wrench that owes money and will be buying more= no problem, ordinary joe that owes no money and they may never see again? HF or Sears guarantee will beat the SO warranty more times than not! At least in my experience.

This is my new baby. It is a KRL1022 with SS top and bulk cabinets. The boxes on the left are my old MAC MB1500 (now my dad is using it) and his old beach top box.

I used to have a MAC MB9000 top box also, that I no longer need. Ebay it is...

That's smart; that's a lot smarter than buying the box that has both of those spot welded together. With those two boxes, you can move them around a lot easier.

Ok, Just got an idea, and talked to the Snap-on Dealer tonight. modify one of the two boxes that i Have, remove some drawers and then put larger ones in.
Like the one picture shows. and then push them together so it will resemble the "Mr.Big"

Can i ask you question? why you hate the giant box? too wide? or bad design on the Casters? i am wondering???:headscrat:headscrat:headscrat

Deafautotech, I don't like that 1065 box; all it is is two 1023s spot welded together. It looks like it's going to break in half at any second.

Tom, just roll those two 7023s together; just leave the handles off. They'll look better than a 1065. If it were me though, I'd park them on two separate sides of the garage; I think they'd look more impressive that way.

Yes I used to work at Andy Mohr Ford and Tom Wood Toyota. I then moved up to the northwest Chicago burbs and worked at another Toyota dealership as a tech. Now I'm an assistant store manager at Sears Auto Center.

Great thing about that is I get to have all those tools and the nice toolbox at home. On top of that I can slow down my tool purchases and slowly build up my collection. That means more money for toys!! :bounce:

Here we go again. The tool box isnt going to break in half. Must you worry about every detail of every thing? Why dont you go through the entire Snap on catalog, and make a list of what you dont like about every tool they make, and when you are done, come back an let us know your findings. I'll see you back in a year!

How do you know that? If the box was hoisted up by a crane with a lift point at the center of the box, would it stay intact? I'm talking about the KRL1065.

You can create scenarios all day long on how the box could break. In the end, it doesnt matter, as Im sure hundreds have been sold, and I highly doubt any of them have broken in half.

My problem with these posts from you merkava, is they are generally full of speculation. From ratchets you dont own, to toolboxes you dont own, very little of your complaints are for tools that you seem to have owned or used.

Such information is really like throwing a wrench in the gears on a site like this.

Possible scenario, a guy comes here, asks for an opinion, and you give your highly critical opinion, and pick apart seemingly worthless aspects of a tool. Now I am opinionated as hell myself, however, the DIFFERENCE is I only give such extreme opinions on tools I own or have used enough to make an educated reccomendation. It would be a shame for someone to miss out on a nice tool, because he came here, and saw you picking it apart, with no fair basis to do so.

Do you have any first hand knowledge that the box in question has ever failed, know someone who has one that did? I guess this is just like the F936 ratchets that are an inferior design to the F830, right?

At the end of the day, its just a load of small talk.

I never said the F936 was inferior to a F830; I don't know where you got that. I just wanted to know how an F936 came apart; now I know.

I never said for sure that the 1065 would break in half; I said it looked like it could. If you knew a little about how the brain works, or if you've ever taken a psychology class, you'd understand.

I have no experience with this box ether but what you say makes allot of sense.
