I've been using my mastercraft 36" rolling cab for about 3 years now, it has been a great box but ít has been overloaded in every draw for quite a while now, i thought Canadian tire had stopped making this box a while ago but i noticed about 3 months ago that they actually did still make it, it was just an updated version. I have been keeping an eye on it for it to go on sale, it regulars at 423.99$ but when it goes on sale they usually have it up for about 250$, every time it went on sale i never had the money and was in school. I'd been checking their website weekly for the past month to catch it on sale, today it finally came back on sale so i jumped on it! Went straight there after work and got it.

Regular $423.99, got it on sale for $212.99, 230 after taxes! Now i have some more room to play with and an excuse to buy more tools ;)

The box has a few small issues, quality isn't snap on...obviously but i expected a little more, the bottom box is the same brand just an older version and i've had no issues with it and the quality is actually pretty impressive. The lid was a little bent out of shape so it was closed too far, almost causing the lid to be jammed, i managed to fix that. A few small paint defects and a plastic stop was broken. All in all for $212, im not really going to complain, It will get very well used, take a fair amount of abuse and i have no doubts it will last me. If i'd paid full price i would take it back and get it changed but for the sale price i think im just going to deal with the few small issues.

One day i will buy a snap on haha :D

So, here are updated pics. I had removed the decals when the SO dealer and I were making a deal to trade for an Epiq setup. When I decided my KRL was better, I was left with a blank canvas to re-do my decal job. This is the same box I listed previously. These pics were taken today, the others about 4 years ago! Enjoy!!

OK, here is another of mine. I recently got a couple of toolboxes from an Estate sale. I really had no place for the Kennedy roller, but rethought the 3-4 buckets of hammers, hatchets, mallets, and handles I had, and MADE room for it, and better hammer/hatchet organization as well...

I also took advantage of the re-org to add the damn things to my inventory in progress; At least 73 hammers (not counting the four I bought today), at least 31 hatchets, and at least 11 axes and mauls. (I haven't counted Sledge hammers yet.) Not all the hammers are shone here either! :dunno:

I think I could outfit about 1/2 a viking ships crew... :lol_hitti

No before pics, but a massively overflowing bucket of hammers or hatchets looks mostly like a bucket of spare handles, so...

This is the box, its an 8 drawer (7 levels) Kennedy from the late 50's I believe:

attachment.php

(you can see both in this thread: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=135685)

I also rearranged a deep "hammering stuff" drawer in another box and a shallow drawer for heads needing handles and body work dollies.

The shallow one became a (mostly) Body work drawer:

attachment.php

the deeper one was reorganized, some really heavy stuff moved and is now mostly rock and rawhide mallets, tire irons, and such as well as one dolly too big for the body hammer drawer.

attachment.php

The "new" Kennedy:

Mostly carpentry hammers in this drawer, but a couple of Plastic, Engineers, and lead hammers:

attachment.php

And Mallets and spare handles in this drawer:

To many pics for the next part, so wait for the next post! :willy_nil

The Kennedy "striking instrument" box continued:

Top 2 drawers, smaller hatchets:

attachment.php

Mostly "hewing" hatchets, (my favorite type), including one left hander in a world or rights, and some hammer headed hatchets.

attachment.php

Mostly "std" hatchet heads:

attachment.php

And a bunch of heads that need hefting:

attachment.php

Last drawer some of my army shovels.

attachment.php

And that's it, the Kennedy is mostly full. I can fit a few more heads and a couple more shovels, but it filled up fast... :willy_nil

Hey Jeff,
That pliers drawer looks like you got caught up a little bit in that old Channellock Blue addiction thread a while ago. :pimpflash
Same blue bug bit me and everytime I go to Menards or Home Depot, I end up checking the racks to see if any of that blue goodness is on sale. Got three of the Code Blue Irega's, one for myself, (Natch), one for the son, and one for the future SIL. Got the 8 inchers for $14 each when Home Depot was apparently marking them down a bit. Bought the last three I guess, cause now they are nowhere to be found in the store!!!
Cheers,
JimDon
