Nothing fancy like most on here. I do plan on upgrading to a matco 4s double bay for Xmas. Or wait till I can find a matco / rat fink edition double bay.

Here's my latest acquisitions:

Pretty clean example of KR 637/657 Combo (apart from the dent), no rust at all.

and here's the other, a not so clean example of the same combo, bit rusty this one and ironically I paid more for it!

I decided to get these two as for around the price of a used 40" KRA stack, I get a 68" stack with 34 drawers and two top compartments. As I have roughly equal need for Metric and SAE tools, there will be a top box for each of these sets and the two bottoms will split the more generic or specialised tools. I'm considering the bottom drawers to split electric and air power tools.

It was always my intention to repaint these boxes anyway, so the rusty one didn't matter too much, here's what it looks like today:

here's mine. nothing fancy but its my first "professional" toolbox. ive always had those plastic ones lol. anyway, got through my first semester of school with this but will now be using a cart that i just ordered as the box just doesnt hold all my tools. these are just the tools ive needed for school. the basics. and the rest have just been kept at home...but this one will always hold a special place in my heart.

Just pics of the drawer Contents and some new stickers.
Im a HVAC tech/mechanic so when I first got hired I took tools I needed for work and never replaced them so the drawers are slightly empty, that was 3 years ago. Haha.

I didn't realize how big the drawers are on these professional boxes. I see your pictures of multiple screwdriver and pry bar trays in the same drawer.... i just tried to put my new Snap-on 6 piece screwdriver set tray in my craftsman 40 inch box, and it took up at least 75% of the drawer by itself!! Scratch that idea! Looks like the tray is going in my closet until i get a real toolbox!

Thanks Jeff! I found this website because I was looking for "wrench organization" ideas on the internet.. now I am totally addicted and find myself viewing this site more than I should be!

:+1:

The same thing happened to me almost a week ago...
On a good note: this site has motivated me to clean up my garage and slap on some paint:

Now, I have to get it all done this week before my next paying job starts, next week.

did you pick the purple paint??

Not exactly.

I texted my neighbor this morning (this is Day 2 of my garage project) to see what, if anything, she had leftover in her shed; this, and a full gallon of blue/gray is what I got (free!). A blue/gray 8' x 4' pegboard will cover about 1/2 of the purple wall. The remaining walls will be a lighter version of the blue/gray, (I have plenty of white to mix in)
-except for the back wall, which will get a fresh coat of white to brighten things up.

(I suppose I should eventually post updates in a new thread.
-I think I'll do just that when I have more to show.)
