Snap on 96 top and bottom, with hutch above both!!!! Started with a HF42, then a SO78, and now this! I'm set! The top box came in last night and is heavy! I almost killed myself lifting the hutch up alone- but glad I had help with the top box!

I don't do mechanics for a living, it's a hobby for me. I still can not afford to pay the higher quality right now, and well I'm under 30, so I don't collect tools since decades. Anyway I guess we have to start somewhere.

Be weary of the hansen socket holders, if you are OCD like me you will have to fill every peg in order to be happy. I spent at least $100 on sockets that I could have done with out just to fill the empty pegs.

I feel your pain! Was looking at my socket drawer last night taking note of which mm sockets were missing after buying new Hansen holders on sale at sears

yea, everybody starts out with a (much) smaller toolbox.

it takes time, or just way too much (free) money to build up a huge collection.
i've been buying tools & toolboxes of one kind or another since '76 when i was a senior in high school.

Yeah it takes time to build a nice collection of tools. I'm 27 now and I started to buy tools since 8-9 years now. In fact this toolbox is my second one. Here is my first toolbox, look at this magnificence.

I have to say, I prefer my new one!

I like to purchase used tools and equipment too. My last scores are a nice little arbor press for 10$ and a CH 27 gal compressor for 20$.

Thanks, it's massive for sure! I sourced everything used, so saved some coin for sure. I "bought ahead" in the sense its a bit large now, but should last a lifetime! It's just at the verge of being too tall, but luckily I'm 6'3, and when I build a larger garage I can always ditch the casters when I find it's perminant placement to loose several inches of height, but for now I need them to move it around.

I'm very satisfied with the setup! Now to foam/cut more drawers!!!!

Reading the CT sale is the highlight of my Saturday morning... and my girlfriend HATES going with me during my weekly tour of my local CT. Matter of fact I was just there tonight to pick up a set of Precision Screwdrivers that were 50% off.

Hahaha looks like we can be good friends. With a house, a car and a student loan to pay, I mostly buy my tools on sale. So me too, I just take the CT flyer on the saturday morning and put the other flyers in the trash can.

Tomorrow I'm gonna get the low-profile 3 tons garage floor jack, 100$ off.

They are Snap-on. All of mine are part number KRA15A. I cut them to fit each of my wrench sets. Good price too! I bought two sets and it fit all of my wrenches (i only used 1 rail for each of my stubbies, they stand up just find with 1 rail).

Yes, they are EZ RED's. They came with the box when I bought it almost 2 years ago, and I have yet to use them I took them out of the foam, as the foam took up too much room.

You have a great collection as well. I'm only 25, but I started off young, waiting for sales and good deals on quality names. I guess you could say tools alone are a small hobby of mine. I don't like having to improvise because I don't have the right tool, driving to the hardware store to buy it in the middle of a project, or breaking whatever I'm working on by using the wrong tool.

Buy it before you need it, so you have it when you need it...that's my way of thinking.

I just bought a couple Matco die grinders from a friend of mine...brand new in the box never been used. One straight shaft, one right-angle. Paid $125 for both (retail $350) I've never used or needed a die grinder before in my life. However I'm glad I got them when I did, because I will need them for a project tomorrow!

Oh, and no, I don't use my tools for a living. Just a weekend warrior that likes trucks and offroading. Welding and fabing is what I really like doing

Thanks, but it's not such a big deal, biggest pain in the A** was the sanding / painting (high humidity (guess i have to re-do some areas...), i love diamond plate (a few rivets and it's done, works great and looks good), here another picture of my "main box"

Yes it is, Blueprint cabinet, bought cheap off of a guy here, very very sturdy, deep drawers, and lots of space, i love it.

To cut the stickers was a P.i.t.a .... but i think it turned out well....

First post, figured I should make it a decent one. Been lurking for awhile (few months), since I started comparing new tool boxes. Decided that for now the US General 44" with the additional 7 drawer cab on the end will work nicely.

Going tomorrow to get it! Pretty excited. Heres a few pictures of my current box. The empty spaces are actually full, but some stuff was out on a vehicle I was working on.

This is just the top box, the middle section, and bottom box are all equally filled. Mind you I'm not quite 21 yet (few days). I dont think I'm doing that bad as far as tools go.

The ratchets are all being replaced with Snap On's in the next couple weeks, as are some other things that I dont have pictures of. Lunch time was coming to a close and had to get back to work.

The new roll carts only have 2 swivel casters. I have an old one with all 4 swivels, and I just got a new one a few months ago and it only has 2.

I'll trade you my 2 straight casters for 2 of your swivels...

Here is an update of the 10 drawer cabinet I picked up a while back. Had a chance to clean up things and was able to start organizing everything. Now the only things in the CM box are sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers and pry bars in the top. Still working on things but now my sockets seem very sparse.
