I will add my voice to the others. Keep a positive attitude and have no ill words to speak of your last job or employer while seeking a new job. Tie a knot and hang on, I am sure you will find something better than what you left. BTW: Very nice looking box and assortment I envy you!

I'll find something. Like a cat, if you drop a Moose it'll land on its feet. Unlike toast, which always lands butter side down. However, if you butter a moose it'll land on its side, which isn't good.

Found a pic of my other Snap-on KRA box. The polished lettering came about by accident. the paint was all faded, so i broke out the 3M Perfect-It cutting compound, polished it up real nice. took only the paint off the lettering, i like it a whole lot more now!

Over here in the states it's real hard for employers to get thin people. If you're looking for a job and you're thin and fit, you're hired!

There are lots of thin people around here. The meth does it to them. Of course, they are not generally interested in finding a job.

Wish i could, just don't have the funds to do it.

Why not sell some of your pink screwdrivers (sorry couldn't resist) and then go to trade school. It will open up more avenues when you have a trade certificate.

The western provinces in Canada are always looking for trades people.

It was pretty sudden. I was paid and told "we're not making enough to cover the wages" he was trying to use my mate as a scapegoat so i didn't bother waiting around to hear his bulls**t, i cut him off and said "i'll get a van."

Sorry to hear that, best of luck

Peterbilr98.... you have an awesome setup. However, a little punctuation in your posts would make them WAY easier to read

Well it only took me a year to get it filled and organized....

Proto 42" top and bottom I bought myself for Christmas last year.. mostly Craftsman with a large collection of Proto ( I get corporate price) and others including snapon, williams, some Stanley general home stuff, and you'll recognize the rest. Too many pics to post so follow the link..

Dang, those Proto boxes actually look pretty nice; I wonder who makes them and are they roller bearing? Whats up with those Snap-on angle wrenches; they look like behemoths or is that just a optical illusion; many of your tools look like quite large sizes, what type of things do you work on? What do you use them for?! YOU have a tons of tools; nice collection! :)

Very nice box. I wish I had those huge wrenches and one of those 3/4" ratchets. I use that stuff quite often but unfortunately have to borrow it from co-workers for the time being. That stuff is just to much money and I am not willing to go with HF or other foreign offerings.

Billy... seems that the Proto guy told me that MAC made their boxes and they are roller bearing drawers... they are SO nice compared to the Craftsman set next to them that are only friction slide.

The angles start at 1-1/8 and go up to about 2". Got them for a steal from a D-vorce deal... too shiny to pass up. Same for the larger size combos. Used them for some tractor work helping my nephew before he passed away... neighbors all have tractors and logging equipment so they come in handy occasionally.. we help each other out and share what we need. That goes for material... pipe, steel, hardware...whatever.

As for the selection... It's a 30 year collection.... I'm a tool *****... You can't have too many tools..especially if the deal is good...

What moose said. I have 2 semesters left in the program I am in. The shop supplies everything over 1" drive. I have some 3/4" sockets and combo wrenches up to 1 5/8". Not everything I need, but it's a start. I just had to lay down about $400 for books. Believe me, I would have much rather bought more tools but I need good grades to get my tuition reimbursed by Cat. Otherwise I gotta pay for all the schooling too. So for now, tools can wait until I can afford them again.

I know alot of farmers that luse pipe wrenches instead of 3/4 or 1" drive sockets and drive tools. If you don't have the right tools you make do.

Very cool! I had something like that when I was a kid...Handy Andy or something like that. I think it's still kicking around my mom's garage.

So what's the vintage on this box?

I dont know, I think its late 30's based on an ebay search. It was at Carlisle, and the guy wanted $1, so I couldn't refuse it, just so I could carry it into work one day as a joke. I cant imagine a customers face if I walked into their house or business with that as my tool box.
