I didn't trade a EPIQ for this box. A 68" EPIQ is a larger box but, this is much larger and my classic 96

I don't own them, just pretty sure that's who manufactures them. Wasn't my picture set by the way, just answering a question!

That's a big time improvement then. I had a kra2422 before I got my epiq. Never liked how short it was or the shallow drawers.

Awesome, thanks. I wish they sold them individually, or a mixed size pack, plus the shipping is a killer (same price as the set).

I have been looking for a cheap 3/8 drive spinner for a while. I think I may try making one from and old 3/8 extension and screw driver handle. They don't seem to be very abundant on the used market in 3/8 drive size.

I wish VIM would charge a cheaper shipping rate for small orders. No matter how much I spend with them shipping is always the same. I try and make my orders over $100 to make shipping worth it.

I didn't think so its got a few battle scars and bent slide that makes the large bottom drawer stiff to open but for a 9 year old box and $250 its perfect

i used to think $125 - $150 was too much for a used side box, and never paid over $100.

i wish i would have bought the other two KR 274 i passed on.

Exactly never been afraid to use my tools or box. Ya I was lucky to find one for that style matco there hard to come by.i kinda like the idea of it not being a real 3 bay also if I ever had to down size I could stack it on top of the box

thats a "collection" that i've been building on since the early 90's.

all the side boxes were bought used as trade in's off a tool truck, and saw several years of use in a working shop
the cranberry harley boxes i bought new in '94/'95
Kr537A / KRA300E were freebies via a trade
the big cab on the wall was another freebie salvaged out of a service van we sent to the auction, and sprayed red.

The Mac box belonged to another mechanic who left it because he couldn't fix it. Now i got my hands on it. going to try to fix it up and make it usable. If anyone can help with the lock issue, i would appreciated it. It has a lock but no keys, can i take the old one out and put another one in there?

I got this 40 inch Husky box not the strongest box, Harbor Freight was the one I wanted, but for 299.00 this thing has a lot of storage and is just as good as lower end craftsman boxes. Doors are 36 1/2 wide and 16 inches deep, plenty of shallow drawers with various heights. The metal is just about as strong as Aluminum foil , but for a weekend mechanic, and around the house home improvement it will do just fine. Just ordered Pig Grippy liners should be here soon. I also made some socket rail boards let me know what you think, got the rails from Harbor Freight 3.99 x5 plus a small thin piece of plywood only cost 25 bucks

I think it's fantastic! I'm impressed. I think people get too caught up in trying to keep up with the Jones, so to speak. I seriously considered the Husky setup, but went with the US General because Home Depot didn't have the box I wanted and it was sold out. That said, I think if you take care of it, it should last a long time for at home use.

I like the socket boards too...I might modify that idea slightly and use cutting boards.
