Traded my HF 5 drawer cart to my dad for this one, it was just a junk collector for him. I cleaned it up and made new drawer liners and modified an old table frame for the base.

So I'm pretty new to the forum but I though I would share my most recent project. I really wanted to get a tool box for the few tools I currently own, but I needed to keep it on a budget because I'm currently still in school. I found these two tool boxes on Craigslist for cheap, but in poor condition. I was dumb and didn't take any before pictures but I really like how they turned out.

I am only a DIYer but I really enjoy learning how to work on my own cars and the satisfaction it can bring.

Find a "Miller" badge and replace the "Craftsman".

Picked this up on the weekend for $50 ;)

$50   O yea, YOU **** something fierce.

I need to find a beach box. Kinda hard down here in Ohio, USA :lol_hitti

What is a Miller badge? Im just curious.
It was a semi-gloss from Dunn Edwards.

I think he was referring to a Miller Electric Logo, the maker of welders. The color you used is very similar to the color they use on their welders.

On the other hand, what is Dunn Edwards? :lol_hitti

I actually have 2. The one posted above is badged as a Mastercraft, and on the opposite side of the garage is its original Beach counterpart, in much better condition mind you..

I really signed up for this forum for the vintage tool boxes thread, but I ran across this one 1st. I need to find/take pix of my "old" boxes, so heres my new and daily use boxes.
my main box is a craftsman bottom w/ a snap-on top. both I bought new maybe 10 years ago.

My $350.00 KRL 756 with unknown side box, full of mostly Craftsman tools from the 1960s-1970s with some newer stuff mixed in. Would love to find a low priced KRL 751 to complement it.

I am jealous, been wanting a 756 for a long time, cant find a used one in 500 mile radius, and way expensive new, dealer wont give me a deal. I have had 761's before but think a 756 would be awesome to move around like a cart and work off the top.

Craftsman doesn't seem to do well on this forum but I have some similar aged CM tools of my grandfathers, I don't use then for sentatmental reasons but they are bullet proof. Nice collection.

Actually Vintage Craftsman generally does VERY well on this Forum. Its the imported chicom stuff that suffers, and I can't say i'm in disagreement.

I'll have to respectfully disagree, even USA craftsman gets bashed repeatedly on here. Im not complaining, to each his own.
