They claim to have distributors in the states but I haven't seen any evidence either. I don't know how much shipping would cost to buy from a Canadian distributor, if there was a good deal it might be worth it.

Ok here's my tool cart, it's not everything but, enough to do 90% of what I do.Here's the top till.

I can't believe how much stuff fits in a "cart"
You could fit everything I have and still have empty drawers lol

I assume that is the box at work, not home.

nice cart, i have that same cornwell one in orange. they do actually hold lots of stuff dont they.

Thanks, they hold all that you really need and more. I'm surprised they're not more popular. Someone told me Cornwell came out with a 40 inch wide version of the cart in 08. If I was smart (I'm not), I would work out of my cart and got two large wall lockers to store everything else in. It would have been much cheaper than a huge box and I never really move my main box anyway.

Here's my Britool box.......
It's nothing compared to some of the collections I have seen on this forum, but I'm 20 years old and I think I have a pretty good start. Enjoy.

This has got to be the best chisel and punch selection shown. What a great start. Good for you

I saw the Greenlee Knock out punch set, very nice indeed.

Yep these Greenlee punches come in real handy when the job calls for them.

And THANK YOU for the kind words.

Are some of your body tools those Sears used to offer some years back?

Well those came from the wife's' dad. In his earlier days he worked on VW's. I could only guess as to their original source but Sears would be more than likely

I have two of those individual Greenlee punches in the same riveted cardboard boxes. They seem like a neat idea. Are they still made or did the hole saw take over the market?

PISS ON A BUNCH OF HOLE SAW

Yes they are still being manufactured and are readily available. As a matter of fact Greenlee's new and improved configuration is referred to as Slug Buster. We have a hydraulic one at work that I believe goes through 6"

Sheet metal shop. We build and modify HVAC equipment. Factory Authorized Final Finisher for Trane. Routinely build fans that have upwards of 150 HP motors. Put them in banks of four and you can move some air.

Those are a pretty standard electrical item: several of the big electrical-minded companies make them: greenlee and ideal come to mind most quickly: the "slugbuster" is one specific model: it cuts the knocked-out slug in half, so it doesn't jam in the die like the original models would. There's lots of different cutters for these: all the standard electrical conduit and operator sizes, keyed holes, square and rectangular holes, DIN knockouts for computer parallel connectors, etc. etc. etc. If you really want to see them go, either put them on Greenlee's high-leverage puller or one of the hydraulic pullers (just about necessary for the bigger knockouts: they take a heck of a lot of force.)

Yes, they do make a 40" now. CTBMM747. but for the amount of space in the cornwell 700 series carts the price is pretty good $995 list IIRC.

thats because the cornwell 100 series and the matco MSC4 are the same box. made by kennedy i think. Fedwrench has a cornwell 700 series which is a 100 series without the open bottom tray and drawers going all the way down.

All of those carts the MSC4, and both Cornwells are Chinese made. The box they're shipped in smells just like Harbor Freight.:bounce:

I think I've sorted out pics at last.
This box was a multi-drawer filing cabinet. I painted it Zinnobar BMW red.

John, after missing a bunch on Ebay - searching on either filing cabinet or multi-drawer - I found this one in a store advertising used office furniture. It was £40, that's about $20 I think.
I keep popping in as I want another two to fasten together in-line, but I don't want to appear too keen in case he puts the price up...

Doh! You're right of course Dave. I'm so used to halving the figures you guys write.

Of course, I;m old enough to remember when it was five dollars to a pound...

jsaw, I like your home built cart from old pallets. My Grandfather made a monster work bench out of old shipping pallets from the place where he worked in the '60s. He finished off the top with a sheet of metal. It is severed us very well over the years.

Bimmer and Jsaw, nice boxes. Sometimes I wish I just would have got a 3 bank KRL bottom and riser instead of a 3 bank KRA top and bottom box.

Ok, here's my KRL1003 box. Completely out of room! Need a riser and maybe a side locker (or 2!). Pretty much everything in the box is Snap-On or Bluepoint.

It looks to me that you have several redundant socket sets? Are some of them dups? I have shallow and deep SAE and metric from 1/4 to 3/4 drive giving me a total of 16 sets plus my British standard set for a total of 17 sets not counting impact. I count in your box over 25 chrome sets? Whats up with that man??? By the way one of the nicest sets I've ever seen. Nice work.
