Keeping my current riser, overhead, and locker. Getting a 144" cab with custom drawer configuration and another 60" riser. Shipped on the 20th...hope like hell to see it this week.
That's insane, I can't wait to see it.

Those are from ATD, and are actually a really good set of wrenches. The metric set goes to 23mm and the sae set goes to 1 1/4". I think I paid about $50-60 bucks for each set. I figured Cornwell wanted $800 for one set so what the hell. I am happy with them so far.

thanks.

Some really cool tool boxes and tool sets here. Putting my stuff to shame.

I only have 2 tool boxes and a small tool cabinet and a stack of random tools that I pick up here and there. If I do get a chance I will upload a photo of them.

I like it, however I have broken the gears once so far in the month I have it yet. Had the Snap On long flex head before this and the Snap On has finer teeth still.

good to know, the finer teeth isnt a big worry for me, i need the length for torque more for fine work, i have the 120xp set for that. ive used the snap on one before, and i gotta say i didnt ever use it for anything other than cracking bigger bolts, then put it down once they were loose. might i ask what you broke the gears on?

You navistar boys should post on the diesel mechanics projects thread in free parking about the stuff you work on

I was breaking head bolts loose on a Mercedes diesel engine in a semi truck.

How are the maxxforce engines holding up ?

HAHA HAHA.. I work for a fleet that runs internationals.. we are not impressed to say the least. They have had all sorts of problems ( what these problems are I'm not exactly sure as I just started a month ago)
We are trading in 55 trucks and switching to Cummins. They also started buying freightliner again to get the Cummins option. Aside from the Maxxforce issues, the rest of the truck holds up pretty good.
Now I know that all engines have their issues, but this is the first I've heard of a fleet trading in trucks to get the engines out of the fleet.

Sorry to hijack the thread, feel free to get back on topic.. speaking of which. . I've got the 41" Kobalt combo from Lowes.. not in the same ballpark as Snap-on or Mac. . But its holding up well.

It was suppose to be "university of Washington huskies" , but I like to call it my crown royal box haha, the white doesn't quite fit the crown royal theme though

Working on those big rigs you'll need a bigger box so start picking out one with the Seahawks colors since they are playing good enough to maybe finally win a Super Bowl. welcome to GJ and you are in my neck of the woods.

your Husky Box or Crown Royal won't be mistaken for somebody else's i'm guessing and maybe one of a kind color? it looks great by the way and i'm sure it holds your fine instruments nicely.

UW had it custom made for some event, but it was never used, just sat on a pallet the whole time. And yeah it hold almost all of my tools just fine!

My first (and last??) Snap-On purchase.. (most likely not my last)
It's a KR555D Bottom box that is in very fair shape. Belly of the thing is still dirty from the shop it lived in--but I'm not concerned. The drawers have all been lined since new with pads or carpet and are in VERY good shape.
Now I need a matching top box (Believe a KR650D) and I can get rid of my other box.. (riiiiight..)

Anyway--here are some pics.. Oh yeah-paid $275.

I personally like that color scheme. It is very different, in a good way. Finally not another green box. What is on top of the short pillar off the bottom? Is that a lock?

Wow, looks to be in really nice condition for the $ spent. Is it all friction slides? The matching top should be a KR550. The 6xx series is when they started replacing friction with ball bearing slides.

They are friction slides--which I'm used to. I can't even say that I know what the ball-bearing slides feel like..

You had any of those new Paccar engines come in? I worked for the big KW for a bit, and those things looked to be a nightmare next to the Cummins & CATs.

They come in every now and then but I have yet to see one with a problem :dunno: They're still too new... We have a notice floating around somewhere from Paccar about testing the low pressure fuel system but I have yet to need to mess with it.
