My first post on here. Been lurking for a long time and had the sudden ambition to post these. Noting special, just the 5 drawer from hf with mostly kobalt tools. Going to post better ones in the future.

I've posted a picture of my tool box before but today I remembered to take some drawer shots today. Still lots of room to utilize.

Snap On KRL7023 with Snap On KRL715 bulk end cab. Maybe one day I can find a way to justify a sweet stainless steel top for it.

That's a really nice looking box. The drawers look gigantic especially since they are more than half empty. Is that at your home or work? How did you end up with that box? Did you get a deal too good to pass up or something? I only ask because it looks like out of the tools you do have half of them are cman. There's nothing wrong with that it's just odd to see Matco's top of the line box not even half full and mostly of cman. The tool cost vs tool box cost is tilted in the wrong direction. I have a much bigger and nicer box than I need that holds more than a handful of cman/gearwrench stuff but it's not pristine like yours and I only paid 1100 for it. Please don't take this as a dig I really am just curious of there's a back story to how you ended up with that awesome box.

I did get a amazing deal on it. Too good to pass up. I knew I wouldn't find another deal like it. It's my toolbox for work. It'll probably be the last tool box I buy for work. My mom and dad got me a craftsman "mechanics set" when I was 13 or 14 along with a few other odds and ends of craftsman tools. I still have most of it now. I mostly have and use chrome 1/4 and 3/8 drive Craftsman sockets. Been picking up more and more Matco and Snap On stuff. I just haven't really had the need to pick up another set of sockets and replace the Craftsmans. Besides I tend to like the Craftsman sockets. Been using them 10 years professionally and they've been okay for me other than replacing a few here and there. I just really started buying up tools from the trucks recently again.

Here's my Krl722 and matco cart assuming the pic shows up. I've had the box for 6 years now and the cart for 9-10 I believe. Nothing too special.

Your last tool box? Yeah okay that's what we all say.

With the exception of adding on to it, it will be my last toolbox unless I by chance find a better deal on one. There's a fat chance of that happening though. Especially on a brand new toolbox.

I completely forgot I had this box in my garage. I stuck it under my work bench. It's a mid 80's Waterloo. 3 drawers with bulk bottom storage. Great box for the location it is in. It is a collection center for small stuff I have no where else to put it. A little ruff on the bottom. Good candidate for a future refurb if time ever allows.

The poor friction slides are about ready to fall out of the box on a couple of drawers... 50lb rating means they're good for like 200lbs right? :willy_nil

What's great about friction slides though is that with a hammer, press and a welder you can dang near fix any of them. Yea try that with one of them fancy ball bearin' slides. Just don't loose your balls. ;)

My only beef with the friction slides is you usually get the whole toolbox rolling torwards you instead of the drawer you want... If you lock the wheels it tips over :shocking:

Cool waterloo box. Is that a HF cart with a snap on emblem I see in the foreground? :willy_nil

Yea, have one ball bearing box. The pull force difference is quite a bit different compared to the smooth, well loaded friction slide box. Sometimes it is a one hand brace the box, other hand pull the drawer type of deal. :willy_nil

That is a really slick and clean looking setup between the orange, butcher block and the hutch.
