zuspiel - until I get my garage built I have a space problem in my present workshop. Depending on the garage I may never stop and just keep on buying and painting them :)
At £40 each - and I nearly got one for free from a friend's office - they're a lot cheaper than "real" boxes.
I did get something similar from freecycle. If I can move enough things round to get a picture I will do so.
I have ideas on making them mobile, but if, as I hope, the garage is big enough to work inside I may not need to move them if I make a cart.

It's a ****** having loads of ideas and no way of even trying some of them out because of the lack of space.

The Craftsman box is mainly filled with woodworking tools, and is a total mess inside...but I have seriously outgrown the S-O box.
The maple butcherblock workbench has a really nice history. It has been in my family for over 40 years. I grew up eating at that table, but when my Mom sold the vacation house it was in, I got the table. As I had no use for it as a table, I converted it to a workbench. It is mostly built from full dimension 2X4's I had left over from a recent timber frame shed project.

I know how you feel.

Since I live in Texas now, my garage is pretty big by European standards but still not all that big with two cars parked in it. The ones in England are tiny, so I feel your pain. I think those cabinets are perfect since they let you use the space more efficiently. I couldn't get a 40+ inch box into my garage even if I'd want to spend that kind of money...

tiny you say...
one wall is shelved. Another has body parts up against it and the other is mostly bench with one cabinet.
That red box sits in the middle of the floor at the moment.

Before I gave up on getting a car in and turned it into a workshop I did manage to get a Rover SD1 inside. Couldn't open a door tho :-(

We haven't even got the new house yet but I will not compromise and won't even buy a house that hasn't got enough land for a garage big enough to fit a Range Rover inside with its doors open, and the shelves, cabinets and boxes. I'm too old to work outside in the cold and rain anymore, and I've worked hard, made the money and retired so I'm getting what I want.
Sorry folks, leading the thread astray. I'm just in a rant mood.
Back to your boxes so I can drool and dream.

in the 2nd pict, what are you building with the large blue plastic drum?

I made a top extension & wing for My snow plow. It makes it easier to push back the banks Before adding on, I had trouble with deep snow coming up over the top of the blade.

Thanks  Who are the other dealers here?

I think it's great having dealers on here. I like daveblank's input. I didn't know 83yota was a dealer though. Pedro-snapon is a dealer but don't seem to hear from him as much lately.

welcome engineboy your box looks cool. Is that diamond plate stuff available from matco? BTW you should try the dual 80 snapon ratchets - they are awesome!:lol_hitti

Very nice, clean setup you have there Steve1968. Great prices on the toolboxes too. What kind of tool labels do you have on the black boxes? I like the chart files too, I've been looking for some myself.

Get a Brother P-Touch labeler. I use that thing for EVERYTHING! Miles better than the old-style Dymo stamping tool where the label would never want to lay flat and the adhesive always surrendered its grip when the label was looked at.

Yeah, but I want icons, not words. Will it do graphics?

$40 for the magent set at Zcals isn't bad.. you get every icon in both large and small sizes. Heck, I did almost two boxes with them and the quality is nice (plus they look killer on my box).

Anyways.. $40 for lables is chump change compared to the money into the boxes and tools. lol

Had some security issues at my garage at my other house so they're sitting in my baby barn behind my currnt house.Stuff I picked up around the garage that I didn't want stolen is just randomly stuffed inside them at this point.
