Yes. Got a lot of interest. The winning bidder drove 350 miles here from Quebec (in a snowstorm as well,) to pick it up. He ended up staying here about 5 hours going through all the tools my son has for sale, and went home with a load of tools, the S-O boxes, a Car Quest wall cabinet and an Sears compressor. His girlfriend/fiancee was with her the whole time, and you could just see the "you're gonna owe me big time for this escapade" look in her eyes. All I can say, is sometimes you can meet some great people through the internet.

yeah it was 4800$, I just found the quote. Or 40$ a week for something like 2.5 years. I almost pulled the trigger on that but pointless when it will lose half its value in 2 years. Buying used in good shape is a better option. Besides I rather pay cash for the box.

I don't mind driving, I once drove 10 hours to Washington DC for a roll bar.

I picked up this new KRA3059 from MOPARHOUND! recently, its a pretty sweet little box that is small enough to take with me if needed and it has a decent looking ******* the front too which sure doesn't hurt.

The 1/2 SO was a cast off I saved from my pops throw out bin I only use it for a very specific use as it has the size of handle I need. The 6" Crafsman extension is equally as old as it is nickle too.

Yes I am a bicycle mechanic this is just my bench box there are a lot of old tools in there.

I favor well used tools over new tools my "collection" encompass a lot of tools I have seven boxes in the basement ( 3 were pops) one other box at my brothers for working on his vintage car. I also have a travel box for my profession it is very compact and hold only what i need at the races.

Pop was a pro wrench for Mopar and Studebaker he moved on the the GE garage then to machine repair.

I love looking at other peoples' toolboxes, so I thought it is about time I post mine. It certainly isn't anything special compared to most on here, but it gets the job done.

Starting at the top:

I can't really see the very top, so it is limited to torque wrenches, safety stuff (gloves, glasses, earplugs) and misc stuff. The top three small drawers have the SK set and some specialty tools.

Drawer 2: screwdrivers (PB Swiss don't have a spot yet)

Drawer 3: pliers and Crescents

Drawer 4: pliers

Drawer 5: ratchets

Drawer 6: 1/4" and 3/8" drive sockets

Intermediate Drawer 1: misc.

Intermediate Drawer 2: extra sockets, 12pt 1/2" drive, Gearwrench set

Intermediate Drawer 3: 1/2" drive sockets

Hammers, scrapers, mulitmeters, drill bits, etc, are in a separate Craftsman "project center" rollaway with a 3 drawer portable box on top.

Mine are 50 plus years old and still have a place in my box.

wow, that is nice service cart.. do you miss your old service cart?? i will go see seller with MSC12 as i still have MSC4 but slides and casters are shot! so i might bring my mSC4 home while MSC12 do all service at my work...

what kind of you work on? public bus (transporter) ? i cant roll my KRL1203/KRL1003 around because it is too big and too heavy for me to push around... so i am use a lot of my MSC4 (i love it but slides are worn out even i get new slides on then worn out fast from few months after..) MSC4 are 70 lbs slides while MSC12 are 140 lbs slides...

i just hate to make regret what i do when i work with service cart so long... that why i have hard time to let my mSC4 go which i just want keep it and bring to my garage so i can have all common tools on it so i can do work on my harleys or side jobs at home...

New tool box for my truck. To keep the tools from rattling around, I purchased a foam sleeping mat from Camper's Village, cut it to fit the drawers, and traced out all of the tools. Works great! Now I need another socket set for the box.

Yeah, those were my grandfather's. They're Kleins and work perfectly well for the few times I need them- I see no reason to replace them.

OK, I'll play. I'll be post #1404 in this gigantic thread. Wow.

The boxes

The drawers

3/8 drive stuff. the inch and metric shallow and deeps are all Mac. The 1/4 drive stuff is craftsman. the swivels are mac and matco, with the 12 point swivels being sk. the bit sockets are a mix of mac, matco, and snappy, with a couple husky and lisle. 12pt sockets are craftsman and husky. 3/8 drive bluepoint air ratchet, 1/4 drive snappy air ratchet, and 1/4 drive puma pneumatic air ratchet, which is even nicer than the snappy.

1/2" drive stuff. The only chrome sockets I have here are the bonney 12 pts. the rest are mac impacts. there is a SO ratchet in here that I'm pretty attched to.

main wrench drawer. SO SAE combo set (6 point boxed end). Mac 12 point combos under that. Matco metric 12 pt combo set with an old husky 12 pt combo set under it. SAE stubbies are Mac, Metric stubbies are craftsman, which I hate. I gotta replace these.

Hammers and prybars. Prybars are Mac, Feddres, with a couple craftsman. Hammers are nothing special

Pneumatic grinders. IR, Sioux, dotco, Atlas-Copco

Electric grinders. 4.5 Milwaukees, 7" old-skool B&D, milwaukee sawzall

Top of the top box. general junk, an electric drill, and my makita 12v impact driver, which I love

Sharpies and markers, a [gasp!] empty drawer, and precision measuring

Punches and chisels. mostly mac, snappy, and a nice set of cornwell cold chisels which I bought new at a garage sale for $3

cheap-*** files... don't get used much

rough measuring tools, and stuff I use when fabbing cages and bending tube

Misc. handy ****

Bits, quick change drills, and large drills

drills, screw extractors, countersinks, step drils, holesaws

screwdrivers. couple of mac pieces in here, the rest is craftsman. pretty weak here, needs work.

Pliers. Mac, vise-grip, channellock, and a couple of scary HF pieces.

more wrenches. couple of matco extra long double box sets. set of craftsman line wrenches which do an awesome job of rounding the fittings. Man these things ****.

Wrenches and hex keys. couple proto adjustables in there, the rest is mixed ****.

electrical--fluke 115, and a fluke 36 ac/dc clamp meter which I got on craigslist. one of the few meters which will read DCA on the clamp. super handy on automotive work.

taps and dies, more drills, tube cutters, and a couple of flaring sets

some misc junk, my sioux air drill, which I love, monster angle drill, and the milwaukee 1/2" hole hawg lives here when its not hooked up to the tube notcher, as it currently is.

Misc ****, welding nozzles, plasma consumables, spare lenses for welding hood

snap ring pliers, safetywire pliers, snips

the goop drawer

Misc ****... slide hammer, pitman arm puller, bearing race installer

clamps and magnets, and some ****

fastener and small part storage, bins for bigger tools that don't fit in the boxes, and a steel rack

My work set up, Tech 1000 and Sunex service cart. I bought the cart for more storage, I couldn't afford $1500 for a side cabinet so a $300 cart will do for now.
