I agree. Does the tool cart come with it to?
If it does yoy should be posting pics of it in your garage already..

No go on the trade :(:(:( He already sold the tool cart, but I really like that box. Put my add out of craigslist and messaged a few people with snap-on boxes. Wish I could sell this gun but i Have about 2k into it and not many people seem to be buying high end ar15's

Yeah its HF. But I would rather have 10k in good tools than 10k box with all HF tools.

Ain't nothing wrong with it. I actually want one of those but don't like red boxes. Our master technician has a large craftsman and a $300 thing from Sams. He also says he prefers to put his money into his tools instead of the box.

If it was a Snap-On KRL 1033:thumbup: then I could understand wanting to give up my AR. Not because its snap on but only because of the two long top drawers. Keep your AR it is worth more to me. I invested in my Stag 2t so I know what ya mean by investing....
Dont be that one at the range regretting selling his or her rifle.

Here's most of my 3/8 and 1/2" sockets. I think I've reached the weight limit on the HF box. Soon time for an upgrade

:+1: Everything is so shiny. What is that stubby craftsman screwdriver that looks to be pointed? 5th pic from bottom.

That's my filter punch. I use it to poke a hole in the bottom of oil filters and let them drain so I don't get burned when I take the filter off.

Thanks for the complements guys!

I like your mixture of tools. Looks like what I'm doing now. Buying good stuff from everywhere. I plan to get a us general box for professional use myself.

Thanks!
I try to get the best tools I can for the money I have, and in some cases that's snap on, and in others it's channel locks or IR.... Just depends on the tool.

The box is great even in professional use. The only complaint I have about it is the lock. Sometimes it doesn't want to lock, sometimes it does. I'll probably just replace it with a better lock.

I've never thought of that. I may have to make me a pointed tool to do that.

It defiantly saves some hot oil burns, and since I work on big rigs, some oil filters hold more then a gallon of oil....
I just picked up a cman flathead screwdriver and ground it to a point on the bench grinder.

I try to buy tools online or when they are on sale. I buy from Snap on but I keep a $300 Max bill and always try to pay it down low before I make a purchase over $100. A few younger guys in the shop have bills from $3000 to $5000. One guy bought a Matco box with almost no tools in it and the other bought all tools and is using a raggedy Craftsman box. Buying all tools is pretty good but I could have bought a lot with cash other than going into debt like that.

nice box. I see you have the two low profile ratchets from HF (short and long flex ) I have those as well. they have come in handy many , many times. not really designed for high torque fasteners but sure are usefull.

Yes the long one could possibly be the best harbor freight purchase I have ever made. It will get into the tightest spots. Just did a timing belt job on a Toyota v6 the long flex version was about the only ratchet I used. It is also very nice to be able to just stick a 10mm on one end and leave it and 12mm or 14mm on the other end no fiddling around I doubted it at first but I cant deny that it is a great tool I cranked the **** out of it also I didn't treat it carefully either and it has held up.

Where did you find this one? Online:confused:
How deep is it?
Nothing wrong with liking what you like and I agree with you. I am not a huge name brand fan. The box just holds the tools.:(
Looks good:drool:

I'll try to remember to bring my camera to work. I think it's 19 7/8 deep. Yes I got it online as soon as they came back out.

Very nice setup and tools. I had to LOL at the top right drawer. Do you have a stressful job? Really like you bottom and side box. Mind sharing how much the side cab set you back? I'd like to find on of those. Were the boxes new or used to you? Everything is just so clean and shiny.

I got the whole set up used. it was pieced together over the years anytime my dad would get a new box, he would give me the old one. the tools I've purchased over the last year and a half.

Before and after.. Still waiting on my side locker and carbon fiber trim. A little taller and 5 inches deeper than my old box but makes a huge difference

It's not ideal having to put tools on top of other tools, but due to space and money constraints i make do with it. I do have another box (old KR) sat in the garage waiting until i have space for it and the need to fill it.

There's a small fortune shoved in that box, but when i get around to organizing it better i'll have a bit more space.

You can do a lot with what can fit in a smaller box. A few years ago i had a top box, about the same size as yours. It was packed full, i could barely lift it, but it did everything i needed at the time. I think i was 19 or 20 at the time.

Also when i was working out and about i used what would fit in the back of the car, usually one or two cantilever boxes with my most-used tools. I did a surprising amount of work with that stuff.

The electrical testing stuff lives in another box, currently in my car. This is most of it:

I got complimented on my toolbox today. Not the box it's self but the stuff inside. I was complimented on how organized and **** my tools are. I've worked for all of my tools and no they're not snap on or matco or the like but I'm proud of my tools and like to display them and have them usable. When i work at friends houses and such they're tools are a mess and they say they know the general area of a certain wrench or socket but do they really? No. But I enjoy organized tools and people will say its pointless to clean them because they're gonna get dirty or put them in the right place when your just gonna use them again soon. Sorry for the highjack. Rant over
