For my first Garage Journal post, I present my newly acquired KRL722.
I really like the orange color boxes.
It wasn't my first choice. My list was green > candy apple red > cranberry > navy > snap-on red > orange ha ha.
But the price was right.
I see lots of drawer-by-drawer posts in this thread but my tools aren't anything rare (other than maybe a few specialty bicycle tools) and the box isn't all that densely packed yet.
Spent most of the afternoon yesterday figuring out how I wanted everything laid out, then bought some new Milwaukee stuff today and "had" to rearrange half the box ha ha.
But the price was right.

I've moved it twice now, and I'm out of the service department.. It's way overkill for my home needs..
I'll have to take some more pictures this week, it was a detailers box at a HD dealer since it was new, I got it used about 4 years ago.
It's not 100% perfect, but it's great for its age. Degreased and waxed weekly since I've owned it.
Have the original owners manual, chrome drawer label stickers, drawer liners and matching HD 95th zip on cover. PM me, I don't want to booger up the thread with $ talk.

Been a Miami Dolphins fan since birth (thanks dad,lol), so Teal/Aqua is one of my favorites.
It's a somewhat rare color which I've never seen in person to be honest!

I'd like to have seen the candy apple red just out of curiosity. Beautiful bike color. A buddy of mine back in college rode a Bianchi single for trail riding. That man had some leg endurance like no other.

well, after ogling over many a boxes, I've taken the time to snap a few photos of my setup. Im only a hobbyist working on my equipment (johnny, atv, other power equipt)nothing serious but I'm the type that'd rather try and do it myself, even if i don't succeed ill learn something for next time.

these cornwells are the same, one just has the door closed. they belonged to my grandfather and he gave them to me as i was always borrowing something out of them anyway. not sure the age of them either.
what i have serves my needs for now, but as most of you, i'm always acquiring, if the price is right haha.

I will not mind having two of them though When I saw the teal 777 I was lost, when I got to the site and looked at it I was happy. The box looked NEW
Best deal in a long time.
I am trying to stay away from this site because every time I log on someone is posting up the KRL1033.. That is the "it" box for me.

I'm actually jealous that I don't need as many socket sizes as that (my work is nearly exclusively metric, and I've got 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch - and I can't even remember the last time I used 1/2 inch!) - cos they just look hella cool! Loving the ratchets and extensions on the clip board!

Here is my new box. Snap-on Classic 78. I am replacing 3 boxes with this one lol. I finally got my 50" plasma mounted. I should have the speaker wire ran from my receiver in the house to have my "Zone 2" in the garage.
Replacing these 3 boxes. it was never an ideal setup, but it's what I got a good deal on.
Now I just need to get my garage finished out!

Thanks! lol. One day I was sitting in my family room; I thought to myself, "man this 50" is too small.....but it would look good in the garage". I was newly single again, so that day I treated myself to a 60" for the family room and moved the 50" to the garage. Life is good.
Those are also my old Klipsch bookshelf speakers that I had in the family room. I figured they would be good for the garage too.... I upgraded to 4 towers for the family room too. The sad part is, now i don't have enough money to finish out the garage the way I would like to. I guess I will just have to save a little longer.

No problem... this is one event that someone cutting in line would have saved me some time.
Wish the 777 owner all the best, yet this:

ended my interest in getting that one.
I can be patient. If one pops up in the color and condition of my liking then it will get some play. I spoke with a Snap-on regional rep last week. He's been w/ them for 29 years! There's a meeting of the minds this week up north. The rep is going to review with a Snappy manufacturing manager the possibility of running a small batch of 777's. If it happens, that would be kool. If not, no problem as I have plenty of quality tool storage to suffice at this time.

Nice. I've got the same set up. Are you just riveting some standard tool clips in the holes?
I haven't worked out any other way of joining things to the pegboard unless they are the snapon made items with a hook that sits in the slots..

i have a 40" work bench next to my box so dont ever put anything on there other than the odd tool
I mainly work on VAG stuff so i have only metric sockets i have both chrome and impact of each set
no i just bought three sets of the mixed clip sets from S/O and just use a small self taper and screw them on. im forever buying new tools so constantly moving stuff to fit them on riviting would be a nightmare

I tried the self tapper route but they chewed out the hole a bit and I didn't like the idea of chipping the paint. I guess I could try some other sizes.. if you have a minute with your vernier I'd be interested in their size..ta

hey man s/o part number for the packs is 63A5000 and they came with srews but any self/t that works in a 1/8 hole isperfect
