Believe it or not, NAPA. It's been advertised in their last two quarterly wholesale fliers. I've also seen the same box, but with different graphics, on the MAC website. It's really good quality and also comes with a side cabinet that is currently mounted on my other rollaway due to space constraints.

Nothing wrong with what you've got.

I have some Stack-On boxes as well. I have to say that I am very happy with the quality. Everything that I've seen in stores since seems flimsy in comparison. For the record, I'm talking Costco, Canadian Tire, and Sears.

The Stack-On units I have came with nice roller bearings on the drawers and overall have a nice heavy sold feel to them.

I was looking at nice toolboxes on ebay and stumbled onto this... looks amazing and they are in Tampa. My wife would kill me in my sleep if I bought that though.

They sell very similar stuff at Costco up here in Seattle for not a huge amount of money. I think the equivalent to that model costs about $1200 there.

They just give you a big harley sticker to put on the toolbox. I think they do that just so people think it is a harley toolbox when it isn't. They also give you a snap-on screwdriver with the toolbox. Smart way of cross advertising to people searching for "snap-on" though.

Sam's club also has a stainless steel one very similar to the first link. Seemed very high quality not to sure of the price.

The drawers seem to rattle around a bit compared to the Stack-Ons that I have (which I bought at Costco, BTW)

They aren't cheap but they very nice units. The two cabinets you see in the picture ran me about $2000 including shipping. I chose not to buy the rest pf the pieces from baldhead for a couple of reasons. First being cost , second being I wanted the tall cabinets to be open at the floor so I can roll items right in , such as floor jack and buckets.So I'm building these as bulit in closets. I picked up a pair of 36" unfinished upper cabinets from Lowes and painted them with Hammerite paint which turned out very nice. All said I'll have about $2600 total into the system which will include a butcher block top.

Things were getting too crowded in my Kobalt/Craftsman mix so I added another intermediate chest at Christmas. Big mistake. Should have gone out instead of up. Now I need a stool to see in the top storage... I need one of those nice wide units in some of the previous posts. Well, that and another garage.

Well, here's my hybrid... after a couple of years of chasing tools between the upper 3-drawer roller, a 4-drawer portable chest, and 3 smaller hand-held boxes, i finally bought the 8-drawer roller yesterday.

Rather than bin my 3-drawer (i'm SEVERELY low on space), or spend $$$ on a new chest, i persuaded the 3-drawer to fit on top of the 8-drawer with a little help from a BFH. I'm not all that happy with it in retrospect- i should have just bought the huge combination set that Sears had on sale at Christmastime (i think a six-drawer roller, 3-drawer midsection, and six-drawer chest all for $300), or else replaced my workbench with something with a few sets of drawers. With this setup, the most convenient section is the huge opening in the middle, and all the drawers are either too high or too low. Bah. i also lost valuable putting-junk-on-in-mid-project space, since anything i put on top is pretty much out of sight.

Well, you know what they say... live and learn, then spend some money on tools, then learn some more, and spend some more money on tools, then learn some more...

Here's my lonely top box...it's 42" wide...which believe it or not I find too small.

I couldn't haul it and the bottom home at the same time so I waited a week to pickup the roller bottom...but the price increased from $400 to $589...The management at HD wasn't budging on the price...so I bought the $99 roll around tool bench in the second picture to place it on...that combination turned out to be a little top heavy so I placed it on my work bench...it works, but I'm still bummed about the bottom...I think I'm going to mount my grinder and drill press to the roll around bench so I can push it outside when I'm working on those to keep the slag out of the garage...

I have 4 toolboxes. 1 is for auto repair tools. 1 is for machinist tools. 1 is for engine assembly and special tools. Just bought a new tool tower to store my house stuff and carpentry tools.

Luckydevil.....I have that exact "Harley" stainless box. But I got mine at Costco afew years ago. They still have them, but they are WAY cheaper in quality. It has super smooth ball bearing drawers, very tight tolerances (drawers dont have any side to side slack in them at all) with a little stop built in right before they close, so they dont slide open if you are moving it around. It came with all the liners for the drawers, etc. They are made by Hammerhead...a line from the company SHARK stainless...which is the boxes you see on "Overhaulin"..just theirs are fully polished. When I got mine, the top and bottom together cost $600.00...I think a GREAT deal. Even better when my girlfriend took me there on my birthday to buy it for me as my gift!! I guess going there every week and hugging it gave her the idea!!

These boxes weight over 400 pounds together (empty). The welds, inside and out are very good...shouldnt ever need another box...this baby aint gonna rust!! Only problem is I like to keep it clean..people think I am crazy when they come over and see me with my ZEP stainless cleaner and a rag polishing my toolbox!!!
