Remember: education, job, marriage, children, ....in that order only.....or you will be the unemployed guy pawning his tools to pay for diapers. .....
I've been doing it wrong for 70 years, as my parents and just about everyone else has pointed out... Marriage (17), job, children (2), disability, education. Does retirement at 50 count as unemployment? Didn't have many tools to pawn so my bride washed the cloth diapers in a semi-automatic washer.

Actually, as long as you don't have children before you are married, you have half the battle licked. That is the biggest stumbling block for the parent and the child. And by education I think it is to go as far as you can whenever you can. Lots of people go back to school well into their career. My sales partner of 14 years wants to be an RN and goes to school at night. ***** for me but fantastic move on her part. Another two years and she is out of here.

Sounds like the easier way to do things.

I think I have my boxes setup to where I want them. Yesterday I cleaned my cart pretty good and gave everything a wipedown. My 7022 is shaping up pretty fair so here goes.

MattMartin, did you change the order of those drawers? The socket drawer is not on top.

Nice one.

Thanks! It's my fav! I wish I could have gotten my 7022 to match or at least a cooler color but I couldn't pick the color I wanted due to the deal that was going on.

Countryroad, you are very hard on combination wrenches.

Not really understanding ya' there ecotec :dunno: buuut I view tools as tools no matter the name on them......... To an extent lol! I'm not going to cut one of my Snap On wrenches in half, but I have junk stuff for just that purpose. I have been known to smack the living daylights out of a wrench with a hammer to break stubborn bolts loose though.:lol_hitti

I love that old Matco box.

I wish the drawers were full depth. I prefer a vintage look over a newer look. That box would be my white whale if the drawers were full depth. My box has to sit against a wall, so that configuration would not work for me.

How big is that snap on? I need something about that size to fit my stuff into.

I was just making reference to the 3 broken combos in the stripper/crimper drawer.

Oh THOSE combos!! :lol_hitti Nope those are some of my 'fawking bolt/nut/line is coming off whether it wants to or not' custom made awesomeness wrenches!!! There is a 9/16 one that is cut to perfectly break the distributer hold down bolt on a BBC with HEI because at that time in my life I didn't know moon wrenches existed, plus the junk wrench was free. There is the 3/4 that was cut for a hydraulic line. Yeah those combos are worth their weight in gold for their intended purpose!!!:thumbup:

Which one? The blue one is a KRL7022 which is 54"X29" I'm pretty pleased with it for now. The purple one is a KRSC46 and is an awesome cart for the money. It's measurements are 40"X20". At least that is what the SO says.

I was talking about the large one, thanks.

Don't think I can justify a snap on but the dimensions give me something to consider. Was looking at someone's mobile cart made from two of the harbor freight boxes and it seemed to have similar capacity.

I've used a big pipe on my 12mm snap on a few times. Never slipped but bent it once.

I keep a lot of cheaper wrenches for customizing. I've been known to beat them with an air hammer many times.

The only issue is drawer depth for bigger tools. The common hf roller is 18" deep, KRLs are 29" deep. When you get over 1" wrench size you really notice it.

Do you have to press the 'PLAY' label on that 1/2" impact to make it work?
:lol_hitti

The only impact I really use is the Thunder Gun when I rotate the tires on my cars at 7 AM on Sat mornings to piss off my white trash neighbors. Or sometimes I change the oil on 1 of my motorcycles that requires removal of the mid-pipe for oil filter accesses, then I have to start it with the exhaust removed "to check for leaks at the filter" before re-installing the exhaust.
The only pneumatic tools I purchased are the thunder gun & right angle die grinder. The rest were giving to me as payment for fixing other peoples stuff or just gifts.

My existing Kobalt toolbox and fridge. I was running out of space in the Kobalt and was looking at the 44" General toolbox at harbor freight.

And my Craigslist score this afternoon. It needs a wipe down to clean it up and it needs a new lock as the shop I got it from lost the key. I paid a little more than the harbor freight one but I really like this style box and it adds a lot of storage to my existing Kobalt. My only problem is the orange color makes me look like a Gator fan. LOL

nice cornwell!!!

Thanks. I might have over paid but I got it for $450 plus 1oz of silver, so a little over $470. The harbor freight would have saved me about $70 but I really liked this Cornwell and the price was a lot cheaper than retail.

Thanks. I'll just call them Monday to make sure I get the right part number. However I might just be able to pull the lock cylinder and get a key at the locksmith down the street too.

New recent pic of my toolbox. Got polished drawer guards the other day. Should have taken a pic with a drawer open. Still waiting on my side locker to arrive along with polished drawer protectors for the bigger drawers. Can't wait!!
