My main box. I have another smaller craftsman roll cab as well.

What I like about this set up,is that it's all older craftsman boxes. Top box is early 90's and bottom box is as well.

One day I'll make the move to a nice Cornwell or snap-on box, but not today.

Managed to get the box and a good bit of my tools cleaned up with gojo wipes and started organizing the box. Have a good bit more work to go but off to a good start.

My existing Kobalt toolbox and fridge. I was running out of space in the Kobalt and was looking at the 44" General toolbox at harbor freight.

And my Craigslist score this afternoon. It needs a wipe down to clean it up and it needs a new lock as the shop I got it from lost the key. I paid a little more than the harbor freight one but I really like this style box and it adds a lot of storage to my existing Kobalt. My only problem is the orange color makes me look like a Gator fan. LOL

Believe it or not, I bought it from my Cornwell dealer back in 91. He had to special order it and took a few weeks to get in, but it's been awesome for smaller things like screwdrivers, torn drivers, and other speciality tools.

Plus it matches my main box.

I always loved those wrenches but never could find them. I can only figure they were made by Williams back when Williams made kobalt stuff.

Yeah they were a Williams product. I'm missing the 11/32 and some larger metrics. If I had only know back in 2002 when I bought these I would have bought multiple complete sets. I can't find any of them now to complete the set.

Rounded up and cleaned my screwdriver collection up. Need to add a few here and there but I love my old 2002 Kobalt USA screwdrivers. I think they might have been made by Williams too.

@ Jeepster - I really like that Purple and white box. The gold trim really looks sharp too. Overall, its just a unique box. Haven't seen anything like that yet.

It appears to be a Cornwell. Is that right?

If you haven't already considered it, I bought the side shelf for that box. It's very handy. The flip top takes away that potential work space that many boxes have.

Got a picture of the side shelf? I managed to get a replacement lock/key set ordered but didn't know if there were other accessories.

Just finished cleaning it up, adding drawer liners, and making space in the garage. Don't have enough tools to take any drawer shots (yet).

Are there supposed to be drawers in the narrow side of that top box?

now that everything has finally showed up!!!
I finally have my basically dream box.
KRL1033 with a 1099 powercab with all the fun stuff ( flat black bedliner tops Carbon fiber drawer gaurds caster bolt caps and LED light kit.

My justification to my wife for this was my 40" Craftsman (1st box i ever owned) was falling apart so this replaced my MAC 1350 macsimizer and the 1350 replaced the craftsman at home and my Dealer gave $700 on trade for the crafty

The blue light under your box is totally illogical but it takes an already cool box to an even higher level of cool.:rocker:

My new matco box should be coming any day now. What do you guys use on the slides? I'm planning on pulling the drawers and greasing them up before loading her down with tools

I tried the lucas toolbox buddy spray but it made my toolbox slides make a bunch of noise. It almost sounds like it flushed out all the grease from the slides and did nothing to relubricate it.

They don't lube ball bearing slides that they load with over a hundred pounds??

Someone want to explain the theory behind that one?

Just a WAG, but either too lazy, or don't know better? You know the squeaky slide... err, wheel, gets the grease?

Anything with ball bearing slides is going to come with oil on the bearings already.

Thousands of boxes a year get loaded up without taking them apart to lubricate them, and no issues.

Think about it- you spend that much on a tool box, should it be necessary to take it apart and modify it before you can use it? No.
