Just picked this up after asking about the side locker. HF 56" with side locker. It is replacing my 26" Craftsman stack.

Looks great. My OCD would force me to put a locker on the other side to " even it out ". but that is just me. congrats on your purchase.

Wow that was fast glad I could help I'm sure you'll be very happy with it

I was taking a moment to eat a sandwich and debate when I posted and you answered. It was the last hurdle on my decision. I went a couple blocks down the street after and bought it lol.

Well I'm looking for my first pro box, I want a Cornwell but you can't get the boxes over here. I may go for a heritage seem well priced for the size of box I want black anyway so I don't mind the limited colours, can I still get a wood or stainless top for a heritage?

I believe so. If you want a wood top, I'd suggest making one yourself. Can be done much cheaper than paying what snap-on wants for one.

The heritage ones seem pretty affordable so I might place on order

Assuming you have IKEA over there, a lot of people have used a butcher block top from them and its not too pricey.

We can't get HF carts/boxes in Canada:sad:

I just went over the Abby/Sumas border and bought one, didn't even have to pay tax on it. If you get a chance HF in Bellingham is only about 30 min from Abbotsford, worth a drive down and probably won't even cost much to drive as gas is so much cheaper.

KMS sells the exact same tool cart but for around $400. I told them I bought the same thing for $159 in the states and they said it is probably just China ****...

Picked up this HF56 today. Trying to decide if I want the top chest or a set of the 7 drawer side cabinets.

Damn. I thought my 5 drawer cart was big than I saw this pic. That thing is a monster!

Congrats on the bigger box.

How was putting it together compared to the service cart?

Here's mine, I just started working on my cars a little over a year ago, found this forum and quickly grew my tool collection through the hot deals thread.

There's not much to it. Just bolt the handles on the end and put in the drawer liners. Everything else is done.

My old box. Traded it in on an 84 Epiq in candy apple red. Picture is a little funky.

There's three drawers. That's all I have pics of on my phone.

That's why I take a pair of dikes and cut off the peg.....woops oh darn I guess I ant fill that peg...lol

I did that on my 3/8" metric tray. I cut off the 7mm peg. Who is using 3/8 drive with a 7mm socket???
Exactly

Guilty. Put a cold air intake in a friends scion tc. Bolts to hold the intake down were 10mm as well as to get into the wheel well area for the other half of the tube/filter, and the band clamps were 7mm. I don't think any size in any drive is useless. They make them for a reason :)

just bought a SO electric ratchet 3/8 and bought that socket so I wouldn't have to use an adapter. ford interiors is the main reason.

Sorry for the crappy tablet camera pic...

HF box I bought this year.. the Craftsman Box is about 20 years old, I was going to part with it it, but decided it will go to my son when he is old enough (assuming I don't fill it first)

the HF box still has some empty drawers..

Sorry guys I lied.....
I cut the 6mm peg off my Hansen tray....I still have the 7mm peg there. I don't know why, maybe I'll cut that one off also.
But really a 6mm 3/8" drive socket....now that's just silly

Finally got my boxes filled and am starting to label the drawers. The Husky boxes are about 12-15 years old and served me well, but my tools grew faster. I found GJ looking for box comparisons and you see where I ended up!
