First post on GarageJournal, but I've been following this thread for months; great stuff. I've got one HF stack (41"), another stack of HF bottom and Husky (I think) top, and a Craftsmen stack. I keep more tools and supplies in a pair of lockers on a welded angle iron base on casters, and two card catalogs on similar bases. Elsewhere in my shop shelves and pegboard hang on French cleats.

Wow, that looks to be in REALLY good shape! I have one myself (not as good a shape as yours appears to be but pretty good) w/a KR1100 on top of it, you'll love it.

Stupid question.....anyone know the proper side of the krl liners is supposed to face up?
I can't really describe the texture of either side but there is a difference in feel

I have been looking for a krl1033 that is reasonably priced, but nothing around here is right. Someone had a classic 96 in red I wanted to check out for $2500. It was gone when I checked Craigslist again. I think it was still on its shipping pallet. Slim pickings in this area is true.

Going to school for automotive engineering technology and technical resource management at SIU... I just brought home a load of my tools to combine into my Snap-On 40". I like the box but its hard to use indoors....

I feel terrible making it into a microwave cart, but its nice having tools inside.

Highly recommend it; I can stuff a ton in this box.
I bought it used as a trade in. I've been using it since I started, the other mechanic traded it in. I asked gj what to do when offered the box and here I am.

The main reason I love it, more than the insanely over built design is the long drawers. I hated having to break stuff up between drawers on my previous box. And having pry bars that can't be stored requires crazy long drawers too.

I like them, never have any issues with them. I really like the impact swivels, I actually grab for those before the snap on ones I have

Man, you guys have some nice toolboxes.Not even that many shops over here have as nice setups as many of you have at home.I have some tools in a small carry box and the rest of them are on a table and a wall rack and powertools in cases.I'll probably never get a Snap On box but maybe a Craftsman or something.I worked at a shop servicing mostly chinese scooters where they had most tools layed out on wallracks.It was ok but i still would have preferred using my own tools.The custom over here is that the employer or shop provides the tools.I think that's good as long as there isn't an issue in having all the proper tools that the mechanic needs, you see where i'm going here.There have been numerous times i've thought, damn, the stuff i have at home, i wish i had it here.I just wish i had it all in a big box so i could roll it into the shop on one sunny morning and tell the owner: You see this?Here's what i need!Can you cover the cost for any broken tools and pay me some sort of allowance for using my own tools?

The one in the middle, directly next to the one which angles back. I moved the stock stock flat shelf down (not as wide) and put that book shelf in there.

How was your 44" when you picked it up? I ask caus mine was ****.Some drawers didn't role good,detints were super tite,dents,bad drawer trim I took it back and the next one was fine-also newer box(has the new lock)
