I love those things.. clean ones are getting really rare these days.

For a while in college, I worked at a speed shop which was located in the building where the typhoon/syclones were sent for final assembly over in Troy. There were pallets of NOS engine parts all over the place.

typhoon final assembly building became abc wharehouse, are you talking about the building off 14mile?

The building is located on Industrial drive, between John R and Dequindre on 14 mile. I don't remember the exact number. There's some other company inhabiting that building now, selling engines or something.

This is my first tool box when I graduated from a cantilever box so many years ago.......back then it cost me a few weeks wages.

After so many years the paint was flaking and it was rusting in places, original paint scheme was brown for the body and mustard for the draws.
So I decided to sand blast it and get it powder coated, came up pretty good

Got the Macsimizer moved into my home shop (my buddies garage where I do all my work). Unloaded my road box into it and got all set up. Now to buy more tools.

I'm not posting 31 pictures because I'm not a ****, so here's a slideshow. It's most of the stuff that isn't in my cart. Left out a few pictures of junk drawers. Also didn't take the stuff out of my locker because it would take my an hour to figure out how to pile it all back in there, its piled to the back. And yes my **** is clean, its called being hourly. All goes in here

Can I get the definition of the word "hourly" in this usage?

Getting paid by the hour vs flat rate/per the job. There is a sterotype that those whom are paid hourly will take more time cleaning up and doing tasks not directly related to the assigned job as they are still getting paid whether parts are flying or not. As a friend of mine says (dealer tech, flat rate) "If parts ain't a flyin', you ain't a earnin' "

Said stereotype is most generally true...

I like the pics !
It's why I read this thread.
Keep them coming.

Now quoting all 31 pics just to say "nice box" or something similar is another matter.

Yep, that's what I was going to say, though at 4:30 in the morning, I'm not too sure how coherent it would have come out...

Hey guys, no pics yet but getting some so one :) just a question about snap on barrel locks, mine failed today. I locked my box yesterday at the end of my shift, opened as normal started work. Keys inside the box! Went to get my wallet to pay the snappy man. And almost all the draws are locked, lucky I side close the main draw. Asked him to come have a look. But he's not allowed into my work. He's saying there not covered by warranty that correct? Cheers

Yes, being hourly means I get paid the entire time I'm there, not just when I'm slinging wrenches.

No, but the people who quote posts like yours over and over are. I prefer to avoid that whole mess.
