Last weekend I had the cash and went to HF to look at their 26 inch box.
I didn't feel like buying it.

Was browsing Sears Outlet and this box caught my eye.
Only a minor dent in the top box from what I can see.
Just under $300 out the door.
Super tall, but I like it.

I made the mistake of selling my old Craftsman box and then not having a new one handy. So I decided to pick this up on sale for 299 and I'm going to try it out for a week and hopefully its not a complete turd. Item#: 00920959000 Model#: 114837 .

If this doesn't work out then I'm going to wind up getting a proto 15 drawer cabinet.

Great boxes, I really like that matco setup, are those ball bearing or friction slide on the drawers? Is the main box 33" wide?

Thanks. All but the seven narrow top drawers on the top box are ball bearing. The main boxes are ±35" wide and the side boxes are 18". I originally bought a top/bottom set around 1985, and they were friction slide. When the ball bearing models came out, my dealer gave me all my money back on them when I bought this set. This is a hobby for me, and I thought I would never fill these up. I did.

My first Official Tool Box (I'm 19) Most of the sockets are Mac And Matco impacts

Screwdrivers are all craftsman USA (and I believe every size they make other then lengths that won't fit in the box)

Pliers are a work in progress, I scored the Channel lock gl10s for 4 dollars at TS. And I bought the 420/426 as a set for 9.99

This Christmas the number one thing on my list is either the set of 4 gear wrench swiveling ratchets or some mac/snap on ratchets just so I don't keep snapping the ones I have....

Snap-on KR1000 which I've had since the 80's topped by a 53" Kennedy Benchmark series.

Nice setup. What is your take on the kennedy top box? You don't see much of kennedy's larger pro series boxes compared to the truck brands.

It's quite nice, but the fit and finish is a step below that of the KR1000. I should expect it to be seeing that the price was at least half of what I would expect to pay for a similar box from Snappy. All in all it was a good choice as it is US made, 53" long just like the KR1000 and the design aesthetic matches quite well I think. If Kennedy would have filled the long upper right cavity with two shallow draws instead of a single large one my level of satisfaction would be considerable higher. I can't see myself ever needing a larger box now so that's a good place to be.

Nice box! I also like those bilstein shocks in the background, are those going on your truck?
I put some on my silverado since they were the big talk. It does ride better but not as good as I was expecting.
